Quirrell, however, must have been braver than we'd thought. In the weeks that followed he did seem to be getting paler and thinner, but it didn't look as though he'd cracked yet.

Every time they passed the third-floor corridor we would check to make sure that Fluffy was still growling inside. Snape was sweeping about in his usual bad temper, which surely meant that the Stone was still safe. Whenever Harry passed Quirrell he gave him an encouraging sort of smile, and Ron and I had started telling people off for laughing at Quirrell's stutter.
Mione, however, had more on her mind than the Sorcerer's Stone. She had started drawing up study schedules and color coding all her notes. Harry, Ron and I wouldn't have minded, but she kept nagging us to do the same.

"Hermione, the exams are ages away."

"Ten weeks," Hermione snapped. "That's not ages, that's like a second to Nicolas Flamel."

"But we're not six hundred years old," Ron reminded her. "Anyway, what are you studying for, you already know it all."

"What am I studying for? Are you crazy? You realize we need to pass these exams to get into the second year? They're very important, I should have started studying a month ago, I don't know what's gotten into me...."

Unfortunately, the teachers seemed to be thinking along the same lines as Hermione. They piled so much homework on us that the Easter holidays weren't nearly as much fun as the Christmas ones. It was hard to relax with Hermione next to me reciting the twelve uses of dragon's blood or practicing wand movements. Moaning and yawning, Harry and Ron spent most of their free time in the library with her, trying to get through all their extra work, while I was hanging out with Fred and George more.

It was the first really fine day we'd had in months. The sky was a clear, forget-me-not blue, and there was a feeling in the air of summer. I was laying down by the Black Lake trying to soak in all the sun I could. These past few dreary months had been awful. I hadn't felt my best due to the little amounts of sunlight I was seeing. It was finally warm enough for me to wear shorts. I was wearing my favorite pair of Ray-Bans. It was so peaceful until two nitwit redheads threw a bucket of water on my. I didn't even flinch. The number of times that they woke me up like this over the summer(and the times Mione woke me up like this) would shock you. I'm a very heavy sleeper. I simply stood up and snapped my fingers.

"Woah!" Exclaimed the twins "We didn't know you could do that!"

"Well duh. I mean I'm the daughter of the Sun God. We're in sunlight. I can dry myself like that." I snapped my fingers again. "And you two are so luck that I put a water resistant charm on my camera! Or I would have done this!" I then shoved them into the Black Lake.

They crawled out dripping wet. They glared at me fst but then got identical evil grins on their faces.

"What are you doing?"I asked suspiciously. They just ran at me and tackled me in hugs. I rolled my eyes.

"That's what we were doing." stare Fred.

"Giving you a wet hug!" Exclaimed George.

I just smirked at them as I snapped my fingers and dried off. Their triumphant faces fell. "You two have brains. Use them." They swatted at me but I ducked and ran towards the castle. They chased me all the way to the common room. But due to my demigod training over the summer, I outran them easily.

"That was fun. I haven't went for a jog in quite a while." I said.

"They looked at me with their hands on their knees, panting. "Jog!?"
