(A/N: If you haven't read The Prisoner of Azkaban DON'T READ THIS CHAPTER! It contains spoilers and I don't want any of my amazing readers to be mad at me because I spoiled a very important moment in Harry Potter history.)

We were just leaving Transfiguration when I heard my name being called by Professor McGonagall.

"Miss Gray, please stay after. I need to speak to you."

I turned around and gave Hermione a look telling her to go without me. She pulled Harry and Ron, who were sending me sympathetic looks, out of the classroom. I walked over to her desk.

"Yes Professor?"

"Sit down, Karlee."

I sat down and she smiled at me. She smiled.

"Why did you want to talk to me, Professor? I'm not in trouble am I?"

She laughed.

"No, not yet. I wanted to talk to you..." she paused for a moment, "about your mother."

I took in a sharp breath. "My...mother?"

"Yes. I know that she is a sore subject with you, but I feel like you should know what happened to her."

"What happened to her?"

"Yes. When she went to school she befriended James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and...Sirius Black. They called themselves the Marauders. They were all the best of friends. And I loved them all very much. When Harry's parents, Lily and James Potter, went into hiding they made Sirius their secret keeper. As long as their location was never told, You-Know-Who could search for years and never find their house. But Sirius Black betrayed them. He told him where they were. On October 31st, ten years ago, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named went to Godric Hallow. You and your mother were at the house that night. He killed Lily, James, and...your mother. He went to kill you and Harry too, but the curse rebounded. I'm very sorry."

"I'm sorry Professor, but you must be mistaken. My mother raised me."

"She...she what?"

"She raised me. Up until about three months before I came to Hogwarts. She left me a note saying that she left to keep me safe. That I shouldn't look for her because it would just put me in danger. I didn't even know that she was a witch. I didn't know about James or Peter or Lily or Remus or...Sirius. I was living with my godmother until I went to Camp Half-Blood."

"No...no she died. I saw her body!" said McGonagall in a scared whisper. "We need to go see the Headmaster."

She stood up and walked out of the classroom, not checking to see if I was following. We walked to Dumbledore's office in silence. We stopped walking at a griffin statue.

She said "Lemon Drop." and the statue began to turn.

So this is how his office is hidden.

"Mya Gray is not dead." Stated Professor McGonagall as we burst into the office.

"What?"

"Miss Gray, tell him what you told me."

I explained how my mum (oh gods, I really am getting an accent) raised me and how I had been living with Sally and Percy since she left.

"Oh dear. I must speak to the Minister. Do you happen to still have the note she left you?"

"Um...I left it at my godmother's house."
