Chapter 43: Bad Dreams.

We only had about three weeks left of summer. We surprisingly didn't have a quest this summer. But I knew for a fact that we would have one next summer. I kept having nightmares about Grover wearing a wedding dress and me and a Cyclops falling off a cliff. It was kind of unsettling watching yourself falling off a cliff.

I was going to the Weasleys the next day so I was trying to get a descent amount of sleep. It didn't work. I only got about three hours.

When Will woke me up the next morning I considered punching him. I didn't of course.

"Karlee! Wake up! That nice ginger lady you always talk about is here!" Said Char as she handed me a piece of toast.

"I love you more that Will." I said through a mouthful of toast.

"I know. I stay the favorite by not volunteering to wake you up."

"That's not fair!" Whined Will.

"No it's strategy." I replied. I got dressed and picked up my trunk.

"I'll owl you guys!" I said giving them each a hug.

"Love you sis!" They said

"Love you too!" I called as I walked out.

I walked to the Athena cabin and said goodbye to Annie.

"Bye, Wise Girl." I said leaning against the door.

"Have a great school year, Sunshine."

"I wish I could stay longer but I need to say bye to Percy and I've already kept Mrs Weasley waiting long enough."

I gave her a hug and made my way to the Poseidon cabin. I walked in the door and say Percy was still asleep.

"Lucky git." I muttered. I shook him awake.

"Karlee. What do you want." He mumbled into his pillow.

"I'm leaving. Mrs Weasley is here to pick me up. I'll see you at winter break."

He sat up and gave me a hug. "Bye, Sunshine."

"Bye, Seaweed Brain."

I walked up the hill to the barrier. I saw Mrs Weasley and waved. She waved back and as soon as I passed through, she pulled me into a hug.

"Karlee! It's so nice to see you dear!"

"It's nice to see you too Mrs Weasley!"

"Are you ready to go?" She asked. I nodded and grabbed her arm.

I soon felt the familiar feeling of being squeezed through a tube. All the air was pulled out of my lungs. Just as I felt like I would suffocate I was standing in the middle of the Weasley's kitchen.

"Karlee!" Said Ron rushing up to hug me. I hugged him back.

"Hey Ron! I missed you! This summer was boring. We didn't have a quest. But we will definitely have one next year."

"You should have come sooner if you didn't have a quest."

"I would have. But I needed to get back into shape." I explained. "A whole school year of doing nothing physical. I won't make that mistake. The first week was hell."

He laughed.

"There's our little mastermind!" Exclaimed the twins.

I gave them both hugs. "Shhhh! Your mum still thinks I'm a golden child!"

"No she doesn't." I spun around to see Ginny.

"Ginny!" I ran up to her and gave her a huge hug. "I've missed you so much!"

"I missed you too!" She exclaimed.

"How come we didn't get hugs that big." Whined George.

"Yeah. Your making it look like you like Ginny better." Added Fred.

"That's because I do." I said smirking.

Fred fell backwards clutching his chest and George caught him and laid him on the floor. He began to fan his face. "Your killing Fred!"

I rolled my eyes. I turned to Ron. "Have you heard from Harry?"

"No. Have you?" He asked.

"Why would I be asking if I had!?"

"I don't know!" He exclaimed. "It's weird. If he doesn't write back soon we'll have to go get him."

I nodded and went with Ginny to put my stuff in her room.

Ginny's P.O.V.

I woke up to hear Karlee moaning in her sleep beside me. Her face was scrunched up. I tried to shake her awake, but she wouldn't wake up. I shook her more violently as she began to writhe in pain.

"Mum!" I yelled.

I heard footsteps coming up the stairs as Karlee let out a ear peircing scream. I heard people running up and down the stairs.

"Karlee!" I shouted. "Please wake up! Karlee!"

Mum, Dad, Fred, George, Ron, and Percy burst into the room. They saw Karlee and stopped dead in their tracks.

I finally gave up on trying to shake her awake and slapped her hard across the face. Her eyes shot open. They glowed gold. The color faded after a few seconds.

I helped Karlee sit up. She was shaking violently. Mum came over and wrapped a blanket around her.

"What happened?" Asked Fred.

"I don't know." I responded. "I just woke up to her moaning in her sleep."

"You should all go to bed." Mum said.

Dad and Percy left but Ron, Fred, and George stayed put.

"Not until we know Karlee is OK." Said Ron.

Mum nodded and rushed out the door. She came in a few moments later with a calming drought in hand. She handed it to me and I helped Karlee drink it.

She stopped shaking slightly and her eyes focused on me.

"Karlee?" I whispered.

Her eyes began to fill with tears and I pulled her into a hug. She began to sob as I rubbed circles on her back.

"I was...back...back in...Hades...dungeon." She sputtered out between sobs.

I knew all about what happened to her in there. She had told me about it last summer. To my knowledge no one else knew except Hermione and her friends at her camp.

The boys gave me questioning looks but I just shook my head.

I hugged her until she calmed down. She gave me a watery smile before she turned to mum and the boys.

"Sorry for waking up." She mumbled.

"You don't need to apologize." Said Fred.

"Yeah. It's not your fault." Continued George.

They both came and gave her a hug before leaving the room.

"Night, Sunshine."

"Goodnight Karlee." Said Rob as he gave her a hug.

"Sleep well girls." Said mum as she closed the door behind her.

"You OK?" I asked.

"Well...no. But right now all I want to do is sleep. Can we talk about this tomorrow?" She asked.

I nodded. "Night, K."

"Night, Gin."

She fell asleep pretty quick but I stayed awake for the rest of the night. I wanted to make sure she didn't have anymore nightmares. She didn't deserve to go through that again.
