It was the second day at Karasuno, and you now contempt with your volleyball team could finally settle in and get to know your classmates a bit better- and pay attention in class. The previous day you were some consumed by the thoughts of volleyball you seemed to barely drift by the classes you had that day, although luckily it was primarily welcome presentations and class and school rules. You walked into your classroom, immediately spotting the same boy from your first day here; the blonde hair and the glasses and the permanent sarcasm laced on his tongue. Unfortunately you two were the only one here, so it wasn't as if you could direct you attention anywhere else-

"Well, it's you again. Volleyball girl. I'm surprised you even made it into this class with how little you payed attention yesterday."

"I'm not volleyball girl- I have a name you know and well, guess I'm just lucky huh?" you replied sarcastically, rolling your eyes and you sat down at your desk. Your response however, just made him smirk at you. Smirk! You hated this guy and his guts. You just hoped someone else would come by soon...

"Wait...(Y/n)? Is that really you?"

You recognized that timid voice from anywhere...

"Hitoka?" you exclaimed excitedly, running up to her and giving a hug. You two both laughed, smiling at each other full of happiness and you slowly pulled away. Practically jumped up and down in excitement.

"I thought, with how smart you are you would go to a more fancier school" you admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head nervously.

Yachi couldn't help but notice how much you'd grown. You had beautiful (h/l), (h/c) hair and bold (e/c) eyes that complimented them perfectly. To say the least- you were gorgeous. You even had a perfect figure from all that volleyball training. She couldn't help but feel a bit timid; but then she remembered who you were. You were (L/n), (Y/n)- kindhearted, brave and loyal. She had no reason to be worried; you two went way back anyway. You momentarily went to the same junior high, before you had to move away but you had been in contact with each other ever since.

"Oh, what a touching reunion" the boy muttered underneath his breath, turning his head away from the scene in disgust. You went from overjoyed to angry in the matter of seconds, turning round to him with a raised fist:

"SHUT UP YOU!"

Yachi laughed, it was as if you'd never changed.

You actually managed to pay attention in class. Making detailed notes, annotations and making a list of topics to revise later after practice. You needed to get into the best university you can- to get into the best volleyball club of course! It wasn't as if you could escape any of your studies, you simply had to nail them in your final exam. Yachi, who you learned sat at the far side of the classroom, seemed to be doing the same as you. You also couldn't help but turn to the blond next to you, who you learnt to be Tsukishima Kei, was still a jackass. He aggravated you to no end, yet you found yourself wondering something:

How did he know you played volleyball?

You didn't think you were that obvious, you were short which most volleyball players are not, and you didn't play in front of him, so how was it that you knew?

"To answer your question stupid, your volleyball shoes where visible from your bag."

"What!?" you exclaimed, a little too loudly as your teacher turned to you and scolded you for interrupting the lesson.

"I'm sorry Sensei, please continue with your lesson."

She nodded, content with your apology and turned back towards the chalkboard. You could hear Tsukishima snickering in the background causing you to glare at him. The bell suddenly rung, signifying the end of the class and the beginning of break and everyone immediately began packing up there things. The sound of zips, screeching of the chairs across the wooden floorboards and footsteps consumed the room and before you knew it the classroom was practically empty, except for Yachi. You smiled at her, excited to catch up with your old friend.

"Yay! You waited for me Hitoka!" You cheered, skipping over to her happily

"Yeah, I thought we could catch up a bit" she smiled towards you. You grinned ear to ear, quickly grabbing her hand and dragging her down the corridor. "Should we sit on a bench for break?"

"Sounds like a plan!"

As you made your way towards the bench, the two of you chatted happily. You told Yachi all about the new junior high you moved to, and about the friends you made and your decision to go to Karasuno. She explained all about your old junior high, and why she decided to come to Karasuno. Claiming she wanted a more relaxed approach to her education where she had more responsibility over her learning, believing she would excel more in this type of environment. You agreed wholeheartedly, suddenly realizing you had forgotten your notebook  in class.

"Oh I'll be right back! I just remembered I forgot my notebook!"

"Okay."

You quickly ran down the corridor. Accidentally bumping into someone along the way. The two of you tumbled down onto the floor in a massive heap.

"Oh I'm so sorry-" you quickly yell. Embarrassed with your actions and the position the two of you were in. You just about managed to get a glimpse of the poor person you knocked down- he looked short. Just about taller than you by a few inches, he had spiky dark brown locks with a cute little golden lock at the front that reminded you of a thunder bolt. You quickly scrambled to your feet, offering a hand to the slightly taller boy, looking away with a light blush dusting your cheeks.

"Nah, it's fine. Don't worry about it!" he grinned. You finally looked into his eyes finally acknowledging his deep hazel eyes, much like pools of milk chocolate and they somehow seemed to draw you in, in a trance-like state. He was cute, you'd give him that. And his grin seemed to light up the whole room.

"Oh...Erm...Thanks" you mumbled quietly, looking down at your feet.

"No problem! I'm Nishinoya Yuu by the way."

"(L/n), (Y/n)" you introduced yourself with a small smile. He was a breathless for a moment, staring at you with a small blush himself before you ran off to retrieve your notebook. He stood there for a few moments, watching your silhouette as you vanished during the halls.
