You finally arrived at the doors for the gymnasium where the Karasuno's Girls Volleyball club was held. The much anticipated moment had arrived- you were finally joining the volleyball club of your dreams (well, that's a bit of an exaggeration. She honestly wished she could join the boys, but if she did she wouldn't be able to play properly). She stepped in, immediately bowing to the her upperclassmen and announcing her presence.
"My name is (L/n), (Y/n) and I would love to join your volleyball club!"
The girls stared at you for a moment, clearly surprised by your confidence and your enthusiasm, sure they had the occasional new member but not one who appeared to be as passionate about the sport as yourself.
An upperclassmen, with sort brown hair and hazel eyes that complimented her brunette locks perfectly stepped up:
"Michimiya Yui- it's nice to meet you. And you're more than welcome to join the club!" She smiled enthusiastically. She was happy to have such a motivated player- she hoped that she could motivate the rest of the team to work harder too and practice more often. After all, she was a 3rd year and really wished to stay on the court for as long as possible- for her last year.
(Y/n) smiled, jumping up in glee at the reassurance but suddenly paused and took out her application form.
"Awesome!"
"I'd like to test out your abilities if you don't mind- to see what position suits you best."
(Y/n) nodded, with stars in her eyes at the news.
"Yeah sure!"
"Okay, we'll just see how you are with receives, spikes, sets and serves and see where your strengths lie. Then we can offer you a position, however whether you end up on the starting line up depends on your ability."
(Y/n) nodded carefully, quickly going to the changing room to get changed into your sports kit before getting in a position to receive some spikes and serves.
(Y/n) knew where she'd most likely end up- she had been a libero for her entire life and although she found herself a little disappointed, she eventually saw it as her fate to be a libero. She was quite short after all...

"Wow (Y/n), you're an amazing libero!" Yui exclaimed, clapping her hands excitedly at the talented first year, you smiled, rubbing the back of your head sheepishly.
"I've been a libero for a while now, I've managed to pick things up along the way" you admitted quietly. You were slowly getting to know (and adjust to) your new team and was excited to play volleyball with them. There weren't too many members- but there was enough so that's all that counts. There was Yui-Senpai, a third year and captain of the club. She was strong-willed and pretty enthusiastic about volleyball, and you got along well with her. There were the twins: Sudou and Kikuchi who were good wing-spikers- and and Sasaki, who was a pretty good defensive player. There were a few other girls too, however, you couldn't quite remember there names but you would get there eventually. All in all, you were excited where you future would lead you.
"So, welcome to the team!" A bunch of cheers chorused through the gymnasium. You soon started practice, excited to learn new skills and most of all; to play volleyball!

Tired after a long evening of practice, you began to make your way out of the gym. Dressing in clean clothes, with a lot less sweat on them than your sports kit, you made your way towards the back gates. Gulping down large amounts of water to help your half-dehydrated body recover from the extensive training you put it through. Passing by another gym (which you presumed was for other activities) you couldn't help but peer inside. Noticing it was being used by the boys volleyball club. You couldn't help but watch intently as the ball was spiked across the court, it connecting with the wooden floorboards in a satisfying smack. The sound of shoes screeching against those same boards and overall, the familiar sounds of volleyball. You smiled at the thought- you absolutely loved.
"Hey you! What are you doing here?"
You let out a small squeal at the sound of someone's shout, turning around to see an intimating tall boy with dark black hair and icy cold orbs.
'Yikes! He's terrifying!'
"Hey Kageyama! Leave her alone! I know her- we met earlier."
"Whatever dumbass."
His gaze lingered a little longer, before continuing to practice his jump serves- a rather impressive jump serve you inspected with good posture.
"Wow, he's good- he's posture for that serve is perfect as well with the timing. If he could pull that off consistently in a match he may throw off the team's receives..." you muttered to yourself. Too loud apparently as Hinata and the boy seemed to of heard you.
"..Uhh...Thanks I guess." Mildly blushing in embarrassment you turned to Hinata expectantly.
"So did you join the team yet?"
Hinata rubbed his head sheepishly.
"Not yet, because this guy" he announced, pointing towards the boy "decided to pick fights with me! He's so mean and grumpy I tell you- I was meant to defeat the King of the Court and stay on the court for the longest and that's all ruined now!"
"King of the Court? You mean Kageyama Tobio from Kitagawa Daiichi?"
"I'm right here morons."
"...Well did you?"
"Yeah, I'm officially a libero for the girl's volleyball team starting today" You grinned in accomplishment. Pointing your thumb towards yourself triumphantly.
"Woah! That's so cool!" Hinata exclaimed excitedly.
"I guess..."
"Oh, we have to have a practice match against other third years to get on the team- you should come and watch!"
"Hey Hinata you dumbass! You haven't even asked the captain if that's allowed-"
You smirked, cutting Kageyama off:
"Sure."
