After returning home -and facing the scolding of your parents of staying so late- you finally made your way to your bedroom. Flopping on the bed in an inelegant manner and giggling to yourself. How can anyone possibly be so cute? You sat there for a while, staring at your ceiling with a content smile dancing across your lips however then you suddenly realized, you should probably get a shower and quickly scrambled off your bed and into the bathroom. Slowly removing the clothes that were regrettably stuck to your body like glue (you supposed it was the sweat) but that knowledge didn't make the situation any better, you got in the shower. Turning it on, and immediately relaxing as the water dripped down your body. The relaxation didn't last long however, as you noticed the large array of bruises that littered your body- some was even bleeding; causing the red liquid to cascaded down to the bottom of the shower floor and down the drain. You sighed- you were used to injuries as a libero such as friction burns but never have you bleed after a simple practice. Shaking your head, reaching for the body lotion and shampoo you attempt to ignore the stingy sensation that engulfed your body. You couldn't wait to get to bed- although you were surprised you wasn't that you wasn't hungry. You supposed it was the ice cream- but you certainly didn't regret it.

You woke up late that morning. The minute you opened your eyes to the blaring alarm clock displaying it's regret figures of the time you knew you was going to have a bad day. Your entire body ached- it was as it someone was sending flames all across your body. And you were usually late, sure. But never this late. You panicked, leaping out of bed despite your protesting limbs and running over to your wardrobe to get on your uniform. You ended up combing your hair while trying to put one shoe on at the same time as your phone binged with a notification.
'Who could be texting me at this time in the morning'
Pausing mid-action, you slowly leaned over to read the text message that had appeared on your screen. It was from an unknown number, and slowly your brain caught up to you.

From: Unknown
'Hey (Y/n), it's Nishinoya. You gave me your number yesterday- (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
I'll pick you up on the way to school- I'll be there in about five minutes. What kind of Senpai would I be if I didn't walk my dear kouhai to school? 。◕‿‿◕。
Sent 2 minutes ago

You smiled at the text message, it was somehow so Nishinoya and you laughed at the thought. Until your face went pale with realization. He said he was five minutes away... And the message was sent two minutes ago...So that meant you have three minutes to finish brushing your hair, brush your teeth, make toast and finish putting your shoes on; was your bag even packed yet? You squealed. Ripping the brush through your hair, strapping your foot strap on your shoe while hopping down the stairs. You mom, (M/n) laughed at you, silently questioning what was the rush and you answered for her:
"Nishinoya sent me a message saying he was going to pick me up- and I have barely any time to get ready." She let out a small 'oh' while (F/n), staring menacingly. "Nishinoya huh? A boy? Don't tell me your interested-"
"(F/n), it's her life. Let her live a little- high school is all about falling in love!"
"And grades, and clubs and-"
"(F/n), you're too protective" your mom accused, turning towards you with a smile. "If you're interested, go for it!" You laughed at her, she was like a little child sometimes but you loved that about her. You could always count on a good laugh. You grinned, before realizing the situation you're in. "Crap!"
You immediately put your toast in the toaster, dashed up the stairs to brush your teeth and retrieve your school and packed it in record time, just about retrieving your toast as the doorbell rang. You could faintly hear your mom answering the door and silently prayed to the gods that she wouldn't embarrass you. Nishinoya paused for a moment, before grinning. "Hi I'm Nishinoya and I came to-"
"Pick up (Y/n) yes?" she smiled at him and Nishinoya nodded. "No need to worry about being so formal, as long as my daughter is happy so am I." Nishinoya rubbed the back of his head nervously and you couldn't help but think how cute that was. "Mom, don't embarrass me" you whined. She chuckled and ruffled your hair and you quickly bit into your toast as you fixed you straps. "Bye mom! Bye dad!"
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" (F/n) called from the kitchen and you rolled his eyes. Whispering to Nishinoya. "He's a little protective." Your mom waved you off, finally shutting the door and you turned to Nishinoya who was staring at you.
"We can wait for you to finish ya' know right?"
"Mhm. But I always eat my toast on the way to school. I woke up less than ten minutes ago... That's a bad habit of mine..."
"What? Ten minutes ago? Woah seriously?"
"Yeah- got ready in record time" you grinned mischievously. Before offering Nishinoya a slice of toast. He kindly declined the offer, insisting he had already eaten and you shrugged your shoulders in response. More toast for you, you supposed munching happily on your slightly burnt toast. Nishinoya just laughed at you, and you smiled even wider in response. You really did have your first crush, but you also knew it was a crush you could never act on. Nishinoya was in love with Kiyoko after all.
