Nishinoya eventually promise he would help you with your receives- but that didn't mean he was coming back to volleyball club. You didn't quite understand why Nishinoya didn't return to the club, as someone who seemed to love volleyball so much; but you were determined to bring him back and get him playing volleyball once more. After all, you two had some sort of a connection and volleyball was everything to you. Anyone who enjoyed volleyball, for them, it was still worth playing. So you'd have to bring Asahi back first you supposed; but first, you'd have to find him. You were confident you could do it eventually.
Daichi, Sugawara and Tanaka sighed a breath of relief at the sight of Nishinoya returning to the gym and honestly you couldn't blame them- he was some legendary libero. You just hoped you could be as good as him one day. He turned to you with a grin.
"You mentioned that you were a libero too huh?"
"Oh yeah. I'm the official libero of the girl's volleyball club- I've been a libero since middle school. At first no one would allow me onto the team due to my height, so I got good at receives and they let me on the team as a libero" you admitted quietly.
"It's not that I don't like my position- I love volleyball and I'll do anything to stay on the court for as long as I can! But... It doesn't seem all that important too my team. I'm sure they'd do just fine without me..."
"What are you talking about? Being a libero is everything! Sure, you don't get to make any spikes or block but hey- who cares? As long as you can keep that ball in the air for just a little longer, you can be sure the Ace will nail it!" Nishinoya exclaimed. You admired his passion, before suddenly realizing.
"What so this Asahi guy is Karasuno's Ace- and you can't bare to play without him because it feels wrong. It's like you can be okay without him- but in actual fact every team needs their Ace. The Ace is key to a teams offensive power." You suddenly became aware of everyone's eyes on you; but you ignored it. Nishinoya was staring straight out you, his mouth agape.
"I had no clue I was that easy to read..."
"You aren't. I just know how you feel from past experiences" you smile. "I've said this numerous times but I'll say it again. I am a libero too you know." You stared at each other for a while, before you whispered into his ear. His blush deepened slightly but he didn't move and you smiled.
"Help Hinata for me first please-" you whispered. Pointing over to Hinata at the far corner. "He looks like he really needs it."

Nishinoya eventually went over to Hinata, offering to teach him how to receive as he was his senpai and you just laughed. You could tell those two would get along just fine. You walked over to Sugawara, noticing him and Tanaka were having a conversation you laid off to the side for a while.
"It's at least good to see Nishinoya still hasn't lost his touch" Sugawara smiles. Tanaka looks over to him and comments:
"I heard that Nishinoya trained during his entire suspension- he was doing it all through the ladies teams." Sugawara laughed, mumbling a 'just like Hinata' and you found yourself smiling too. You eventually approached Sugawara grinning to yourself.
"Oh hey (Y/n), you seem to be getting along with Nishinoya huh?"
"It's so unfair dude! Nishinoya gets a hot chick way before I do!" Tanaka cries. You blush slightly, shaking your head.
"It's nothing like that!" You exclaim, frantically waving your hands around. Sugawara just laughed at the two of you.
"Stop teasing (Y/n) Tanaka! Go and practice like you should be doing right now!" Tanaka freaked out a little, nodding before running off and you laughed alongside him.
"Tanaka really is something else huh?"
"Yeah he is... What did you want to talk about?"
"This Asahi guy... Where do I find him?" you questioned determinedly. He looked at you suprised for a moment, before thinking absentmindedly.
"He's a third year- "
He paused, noticing Hinata, Nishinoya, Tanaka and Kageyama talking at the other side of the gym. And he immediately rushed over seeing Kageyama's facial expression. You stared for a moment in bewilderment, but simply shrugged your shoulders. Motherly instinct you supposed, snickering to yourself quietly and rushing over to ask someone to serve for you. You really did admire this team- and practice was always so worth while!
