"It wasn't that great" Tsukishima rolls his eyes. You stick his tongue out at him, smirking at him shortly after. "You're just jealous Stinkyshima."
"Pfft. You wish."
"Guys..." Daichi murmurs fearfully, "he just did that... With his eyes closed!" Everyone gasps in shock at the revelation.
"What? No way!"
"From the moment his feet left the floor, to the second he swung his arm- his eyes were closed. Kageyama just made a pinpoint toss into Hinata's hand, but Hinata wasn't even looking at the ball- I don't know how he did it, but his timing was perfect."
"That's awesome- guys I don't know what happened but my hand just hit something! Did you see that? Huh?"
"What did you do? Your eyes weren't really shut were they?" Kageyama exclaims, pointing at Hinata. You sighed, didn't he know it was rude to point?
"Um...Well, you were the one who told me not to look at the ball. If I kept my eyes open I knew I would look at it!"
"I wasn't telling you too!"
"But it worked right?" Hinata asked, completely clueless. "What's the big deal?"
"I know it worked but, what kind of person acts totally on trust?" Kageyama questions, shocked at Hinata's trust in him. You couldn't blame him though...
"I can't help it! Trust is the only way I know how to do it!"
Tanaka ruffles Hinata's hair affectionately, and you stare at Kageyama carefully. "Tanaka, if we can score with Hinata's spike then our marks will scatter, and it'll be easier for you to spike too."
"Yeah!"
"Right on!"
"Look, I know we don't have any special trust built up or anything, but I will deliver the next ball to you, so jump, okay?"
The game continues, and Kageyama keep working on their brand new quick attack- Hinata occasionally missing a few and Kageyama actually apologizing! You couldn't believe your own ears- Kageyama apologizing?
"What are you smiling about? This is the second time I've got hit in the face with the ball!"
"I'm not buying it, that had to be a one time thing" Tsukishima muttered. "Why are they even still trying?"
"Well guess what? Hinata's probably going to jump with his eyes closed about a million more times. You're right though, it is pretty unbelievable, it's hard to trust another person 100%, especially your sworn enemy" Daichi smiles to himself. Maybe this is really the chance for Karasuno to go to the nationals once more.
"Awww, man, it's not working- but; I definitely felt it that one time.The heaviness of the core of the ball- and I really like that feeling." Hinata smiles, closing his fest in a determined manner. The game continues once more, Hinata running straight towards the net, changing his course when he sees the blockers. He jumps high, and Kageyama sets it to him and he spikes it powerfully towards the other side of the court. This truly was the start, of an amazing duo.
The matched continued, and Hinata took many more sets directly to the face. However, he also performed more successful quick attacks also.
"Yeah! That was freaking perfect!"
"Right! We're on a roll!"
"You're not getting past me this time, kid!" Tsukishima announced as he jumped to block Hinata's spike. You smirked as you noticed Tanaka approaching the net from the other side of the court.
'Using Hinata as a decoy... Clever.'
"Oh really?" Tanaka shouted, as he spiked the ball. And with his successful, Tanaka took his shirt off, again!
"Ooohh, how'd you like that huh Tsukishima? Not talking very big any more are you huh?"
"Yeah what he said!" Hinata chimed in.
"OOoohhh I wish you'd try something boy!"
"Yeah go ahead and try!"
"Why are you doing more trash talking than Hinata is?" Sugawara interrupted Tanaka's rant. Tanaka comically paused, and Ennoshita drove it further.
"Yeah, without the first years you wouldn't of made that hit!"
"Yeah, stop getting cocky!" Sugawara warned. You laughed, he was like the mom of the volleyball team- Sugamama!
"Keep your clothes on!"
"Look I don't need any more smart remarks from you guys!" Tanaka countered, pouting slightly.
The whistle blows, signifying the start of the second set and you watch intently as Hinata and Tanaka get themselves all worked up again. You shake your head- these guys never change Kageyama also begins making more blocks himself, taking their team in the lead for the second set and Hinata continues to take hits to the face. It seems Tsukishima is getting more worked up by the minute; as Hinata's and Kageyama's quicks become more frequent. The final whistle blows, indicating Hinata, Kageyama and Tanaka won the second set. You cheered happily for them jumping up and down in excitement and quickly running over to the exhausted team congratulating them.
"Good game!"
Hinata runs over to Tsukishima, offering his hand, supposedly for a hand shake. You snicker at him, pointing in his direction.
"Nice try! But Stinkyshima is too salty- wait Saltyshima fits him better!" Sugawara scolds you and you just laugh it off, telling him how he's like a mother of the team. he blushes waving his hand in front of your face frantically.
"What no way! I'm just looking out for my team!"
"Exactly, like a mother! Does that mean Daichi is like the father of the team?"
Sugawara's blush deepens even further, into a shade of scarlet and you laugh at his face.
"What?!"
The team laughs at you all, Hinata still insists on a handshake from Tsukishima, which he attempts to avoid, and Kageyama just watches the situation carefully. Not getting involved with the situation at all.
You loved this team, and was certain to hang out with the boys some more.

Man that was a big match- but it was important as now, you can hang out with the boys much more frequently. And Nishinoya soon! ;)
