A/n: Sorry for such a long wait- to make up for it I made this chapter pretty long (for my standards anyhow). I also, looking through the comments on this story noticed a good point someone made- that there isn't a chapter just for practicing with the girls team so I'll try and make one soon once the Nekoma match happens. It'll probably be a good few chapters from now but'll try and include it (and i'll tag your name in the chapter). Anyway, thank you guys for your patience. ;D

It was just before lunch; and you guys had practiced your receives all morning; which you were really happy about- showed by how you was bouncing up and down as you waited for Hinata to finish, cheering him on. Tsukishima looked as grumpy as ever and you resisted the urge to snicker at his facial expression.
"Why are you so annoying?" he muttered angrily, pushing his glasses up while glancing at you in the corner of his eye. You grinned at his annoyance- annoying Tsukishima was one of your favorite things to do. You didn't know why- but you assumed it had something to do with how salty he was all the time; even if nobody did anything to him the saltiness practically rolled off him in waves.
"Oh, you're in close proximity so it's only natural I annoy you as much as possible" you respond simply turning around to focus on Hinata's receive.
"What are you? A windmill? Move your hands and feet!" coach Ukai yells and you laugh slightly. Hinata was uncoordinated but that was probably a result of all that energy being let out all at once. He was the literal epitome of energy- twenty-four seven. He really did have his superhuman moments (as Kiyoko referred to them).
"Yes sir! One more!" Hinata exclaimed and you cheered him on.
"Yeah go Hinata!"
Hinata dived to make (an almost flawless) receive and you grinned excitedly. Hinata was really doing much better at his receives. You wondered whether it was a mixture of his pure determination and Nishinoya's teachings and tips; thinking about it Nishinoya was a fantastic teacher. He'd taught you so much in the small time you'd known him and for a moment you stood there captivated by your own thoughts- you really had improved since Nishinoya had been helping out. It's rare you miss opportunities to save the ball and your rolling receives were much better than they were before- you giggled at the thought.
"Yes- nice Hinata!"
"That's his fifth one." Kiyoko calls out from beside Coach Ukai. And you become even more excited than before. Quickly getting into position (not before complimenting Hinata on how good he'd gotten) and staring ahead determinedly. Receiving the ball was your supposed forte, so you always became focused as soon as the spiker -this case coach Ukai on a table- prepared to spike the ball. Coach Ukai spiked the ball, and you made a quite a few quick steps to the side in order to reach the ball before it bounced off the side of your connected hands. Making a satisfying noise as it dropped to the floor. You grinned, you loved volleyball. There was nothing better than the adrenaline rush as the ball comes flying towards you. After a few more receives (which you received pretty well, however you noticed your last receive was slightly of).
"That should be everybody- it's time to run some laps guys" coach Ukai called out and you turned towards Hinata -who was already running laps, that guy had far too much stamina- and sighed.
"Yes sir!"
You quickly joined in running the laps. If you really wanted to stay on the court the longest- you really needed to improve your stamina. You considered starting morning runs; but that would include waking up early on school morning and having a shower before putting your uniform on and you really don't know how long you could actually maintain that for. In the end you decided you'd attempt it- as it was genuinely something you wanted to improve and while lost in your thoughts you didn't notice how time had passed you by.
