Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Date.

A/n: Hello everyone. Sorry for not updating sooner, I'm really nervous about this chapter as you all seem so excited- I didn't want to let any of you down. So I hope this is okay, and you enjoy it!

You was awoken from your sleep by the blaring sound of your alarm clock. Your eyes fluttered open, blinking blearily. You groaned, rolling over to cancel your alarm, which by now was giving you a headache, and grab your phone from your bedside table. Staring blankly at the numbers on your screen, '9:07' - you was excited about something, but what? Then it hit you, you had a date with Nishinoya today! You smiled at the thought- you had a date with Nishinoya Yuu. A small 'bing' sounded from your phone, a notification appearing on your screen alerting you of a text message. Sliding your thumb across the screen, you opened your texts. Your heart started racing as soon as you saw it was a message from Nishinoya.

From: Nishinoya️⚡

Morning (Y/n)! (ᗒᗨᗕ) Is it okay to pick you up at 10:30? I'm so excited! 

I heard there's a brand new sports shop in town with a bunch of volleyball stuff in- we have to check it out! (つ >ω●)つ

Just sent.

You found yourself smiling even more than a few minutes ago as you began typing out a response. Clicking the back key a few times (a few times more than necessary) and re-typing a message until you found the right response before pressing send.

To: Nishinoya⚡

Morning Noya-Senpai! Yep that sounds good- I'll see you then! (ノ^o^)ノ

You stare at your screen a little longer,  before getting up and beginning to get ready. After having a quick shower and brushing your teeth, you stand in front you wardrobe thinking about what should wear. It wasn't like you to think too long about what to wear, and it's not like Nishinoya would care either -although you had noticed he was a bit of pervert and had a thing for skirts.- Shaking your head to dismiss your thoughts, you pulled out a nice (f/c) shirt and a pair of jeans (a/n: you don't have to wear this outfit, wear whatever you feel like -this is you after all- this is just an example of what you could wear!) After getting dressed and wrapping a jacket around you waist, just in case, you grabbed a small bag you packed the day before racing out of your bedroom. 

"Woah (Y/n)! What's got you in a rush?" (M/n) questioned, laughing. You blushed, pausing mid step as you stared at her.

"It's probably the boy again. What's he called- Nishinoya?" (F/n) answers simply, putting his newspaper down to eat his breakfast. 

"D-Dad!" you stammered, your blush deepening. (M/n) gasped dramatically, before exclaiming:

"Are you going on a date! Oh- my little girl is growing up!"

"W-What MOM!" you squeaked. (F/n) put down his chopsticks, which he was going to use to eat his rice and miso soup, and staring at you. 

"You're actually going on a date?" He questions. You nod slowly and he returns his attention back to his breakfast without another word. Your mother looked more sentimental however, or excited. Maybe a bit of both? You wasn't quite sure, but you did find it embarrassing. You turned your attention to putting on your shoes before getting up walking over to the breakfast table. Subtly checking the time. 

'10:00. So thirty more minutes until Nishinoya gets here' you grin. Picking up your chopsticks before digging in.  (M/n) sat down at the table with the two of you, and the conversation flows easily as you all eat breakfast together. Although you really enjoyed having a family breakfast (and your parents company) you couldn't help but keep glancing towards the clock, which your parents noticed- (M/n) teasing you mercilessly while (F/n) just finished his meal quietly. The doorbell rang just as you was putting your plate and bowl in the sink. You excitedly ran towards the door. Giving your parents a kiss on the cheek on the way.
