The aftermath might make you sick

Calum's POV

I was worried for most of the day. I was worried about how Carly was going to handle being at school with Michael and how she would react to him being with Rose. They started going out the day she went to his house. I nervously wait outside the cafeteria for Carly because I know that as soon as she walks in, she'll see them together. I see her through the large crowd of people and when she comes to the door, I step in front of her.

"We don't have to go in there. We can eat outside or I can drive you somewhere."

"Calum it's okay. I wanna eat with our friends." She goes to walk in again, but I stop her.

"Carly I really think we should eat somewhere else."

"Calum, I don't understand what the big-" Her voice trails off and I see her eyes starting to water.

"Carly I-" She turns away and quickly walks away. I lose her in the sea of people. I quickly run into the cafeteria and find Luke

Luke's POV

I got my food and sat next to Ashton. He went on a vacation to the US with his family over the summer so he wasn't here. It's good to catch up with him, but our time is cut short when Calum comes rushing over to us. He sits down next to me and begins to talk.

"Carly found out about Michael and Rose. She ran off and I have no idea where she's at."

"Shit. Do you know if-"

"What happened with her and Micheal?" Asks Ashton. Calum and I both look at each other and then back at Ashton. I begin to speak.

"Her and Micheal were in a car accident as you know, but there's more to the story than just that. Carly came out okay, but Michael lost his memory of her and we aren't sure if it'll ever come back." He stairs blankly at us.

"Why didn't you guys tell me sooner?"

"You had just gotten back and-" He cuts me off.

"It's okay, but we should probably go and look for her."

"You're right, let's go." We all get up and quickly rush out of the cafeteria. I take a quick glace at Michael and Rose and see that he's looking at us before I quickly catch up to Luke and Ash. We stop when we get complacently out of the cafeteria.

"What direction did she go in?" I ask.

"She went that way, but I lost her in the crowd." He points in front of us and we start walking down the hall. I don't know why, but I'm really worried. I have no idea where she could be or what she could be doing. We round a corner and that's when we see her sitting on the ground with her knees pulled up to her chest. We rush over to her and sit down next to her.

"It's okay Carly, where here." She looks up at us.

"None of this is okay. My boyfriend is sitting in that cafeteria with Rose and every time I think about that, I just- I called my mom and she's coming to get me. This was all too much too soon." She stands up and begins to walk away, but we all follow her.

"When will you be back?" I ask.

"I'm not coming back." We all stop dead in our tracks.

"What do you mean you aren't coming back?" Calum asks. She turns and faces us.

"I need to go somewhere he isn't. I'm staying with my grandparents and going to another school."

"But your grandparents live in Melbourne." Ashton says.

"I know that. If you were in my situation than you would understand. I can't stay here and watch him fall in love with someone who isn't me. I can't walk into a class and hold my breath every time someone walks through the door and I can't walk into the cafeteria knowing that he's feet away from me and I can't be with him. So yes, I'm moving to Melbourne and I'm starting over."

"What about us?" Ashton continues.

"Right now, this isn't about you guys. It's selfish to say, but it's about me. I need to find out who I am even if that means doing it alone."

"We're always going to be here for you no matter what, even if you don't want us to be." She smiles and turns away, but this time, we don't follower her. We know she's hurting and if she thinks this is what's best, then we're going to let her go.

"Was that because of me?" We turn around to see Michael standing there.

"It's a little more complicated than that."

"I know that I meant a lot to her, but I didn't know how much, no one ever told me that part." I give him a confused look and see tears forming in his eyes.

"Wait, do you remember her?"
