Carly's POV
As soon as I get home I quickly run up to my room before my mom can get to me. I carefully shut my door and slide down onto the floor. I feel my phone vibrate in the pocket of my jacket, but I just let it ring. I can't stomach the thought of talking to anyone right now. I slowly pull myself off the floor and take my phone out of my pocket. I see that it was Calum who called and he left a voicemail too. I click on it, put in my password, and start to listen.
"I know that you're really mad at me right now, but this can't be it for us. Not after everything we both had to go through to get to each other. I said some awful things to you that I didn't mean. I just said them in the heat of the moment and I'm so sorry. I love you Carly and I don't think I'll ever stop loving you. You mean the world to me and I-" It then cuts him off. I think about calling him, but decide against it. I get undressed and into a pair of shorts and a large t-shirt. I climb into bed and almost as soon as my head hits the pillow, I'm asleep.
My eyes struggle open from how light it is in my room right now. I quickly get up and shut my curtains. I sit back down on my bed and look for my phone. When I finally grab it, I see a few messages from Rose. I open our chat and look at the messages.
R: Hey, I heard about your fight that you had last night, Everything okay?
R: I'm sorry if I'm bothering you. I've been where you are right now and I know it hurts, but I'm here to talk if you need.
R: I just wanna make sure you're alright.I take in a deep breath before responding.
C: Hey, yeah I'm doing okay I guess. I just woke up so that's why I didn't get to you sooner. Hope everything is well for you and Mike right now.
I hear a knock on my door so I put my phone on my nightstand.
"Come in." I say. The door opens, reveling my mom.
"Hey, you got home pretty late and when I go here, your car wasn't parked in the driveway. Is everything okay?"
"Calum and I got into a huge fight last night and I think we might have broken up."
"Oh honey." She says as she walks into my room and sits down on my bed. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"I'm good, plus you have work and I don't want to make you late." She rests her hand on my calf.
"I'm here for you Carly. I don't want you keeping things from me, okay?"
"Okay mom. Now go before you're late." She kisses me on the forehead and walks out of my room. I pick my phone back up and see a message from Calum. I hesitate before I open it.

CA: I'm outside your house, come out if you want to talk.
I peer out my window and see him standing in front of his car. I pull the covers off the lower part of my body and quickly find some clothes to wear. I decide on wearing what I usually wear and that's a band tee with ripped skinny jeans and some sort of belt. I quickly tie my hair back and hear my phone ding. I walk over to it and see it's another message from him.
CA: Can we please talk?
I don't reply, instead I quickly head down the stairs and open the front door. He looks up from his phone and his eyes meet mine. He smiles and puts his phone in his pocket and makes his way over to me. I step back as I let him inside. As soon as he's in the house, I shut the door and turn to him. We both sit down on the couch and he starts talking.
"I'm sorry for everything that happened last night. I was tired and I know that's not a good excuse, but that's all I've got. I can't lie to you and I won't lie to you. Last night, when we were discussing all the tour stuff, my phone died that's why I wasn't answering you. I meant to tell you last night, but then we starting fighting and it just slipped my mind."
"I'm sorry for what I said to you too. I was just mad at you for not telling me where you were. I was so scared that something happened to you and I would have to go through everything I went through with Michael all over again and I didn't want that. A part of me was saying that your mom was going to get a call saying that you were in an accident and that you died, but the other part of me was telling me that you were out with someone else."
"I would never do anything like that to you. I know that me being gone for three months is going to put some sort of strain on us, but I won't let that fight be the end. You and I have come too far to let a simple fight like that get in the way of the future you and I could have."
"I don't want it to either."
"Than let's make it not." I take in a deep breath before talking.
"We need to talk about you leaving."
"We can talk about that." I look him in the eyes and feel my eyes swell with tears.
"If you're leaving for three months and you leave what tomorrow? Then you'll get back like a week before graduation. How are you gonna make up all the credits you need?"
"Our parents are still talking to the school, but we'll most likely be doing online work that will count for credit. I promise I will be back before graduation and I promise that I'll spend as much time with you as I possible can before and after I leave." I scoot closer to him and lay my head on his chest.
"We can start right now."
"I'd like that a lot."
