Sorry for what I've become

Carly's POV

Ever since Homecoming, things have been different. I started siting with Rose and Michael along with Luke, Cal, and Ash. Calum and I have starting dating and I'm not sad anymore. I haven't thought about what my life used to be in such a long time because I'm more focused on my future. I never really had the time to think about what I want to do when I graduate and now I only have a few months left of school to figure it out. As I sit in the library looking at potential colleges, I  feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey beautiful." Calum says as he kisses me on the cheek and sits down next to me.

"Hey. I'll be out in a sec, I'm just trying to look into a few more potential colleges."

"No need to rush. I just didn't see you at lunch today so I was worried."

"I was with Ashton."

"Oh okay. How was your day?"

"Better now that you're here." I look over at him and see that his face is red. "How was yours?"

"It sucked with out you, but I'm glad I'm coming over."

"I'm glad too. I know that you and I haven't seen much of each other lately and I want to make tonight special."

"Like what kind of special?"

"Oh shut up." I say as I lightly push him. I finish what I need to get done and we walk out of the library and into the parking lot. We walk to his car and both get in. The one thing I still haven't done is drive. Every time I try and get behind the wheel, I just flash to that day again and I can't do it. I know it's something I need to get over, but that's going to take a lot more time. The reason that me and Cal haven't seen much of each other is because he's been practicing with the band and I've been working on my college applications. It seems like every time he's free, I'm not and every time I'm free, he's not. This is the first time in months that we actually get to spend some time together and I want to make it special. We pull into my driveway and walk inside.

"So what do you have planned?" He asks.

"You just sit on the couch and relax while I cook and then you'll see." I walk into the kitchen and grab everything that I need. I'm surprisingly good at cooking. As I finish up, I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "Calum, I told you-"

"How did I get so lucky with you? You're cooking me dinner and you're just so amazing."

"How did I get so lucky with you? You made me see that life is more than one person. I don't need anyone to be happy and you taught me that. Let me do this one simple thing for you because it's the least that I can do." He let go of me and I turn around. "Did I-" He pulls me into a kiss. It's the first one we've had in a while and it feels like the first time all over again. We pull apart and I smile.

"I'll let you get back to what you're doing."

"I'll almost done so you can wait at the table."

"Okay." I turn back to what I'm doing and when I finish I bring the food over to him. "Holy shit Carly, you made all of this?"

"Of course I did and I did it for you." He smiles. We eat and then cuddle on the couch and watch a few movies before I end up falling asleep.

When I wake up, I'm alone on the couch. I sit up and see that Calum's bag and car keys are gone. I quickly walk over to my bag and grab my phone. I find his number and I call him.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I saw that you weren't here. I just woke up and it kinda scared me. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, but I have to go. I'll call you later."

"Okay, well I love-" The line goes dead. I quickly scroll through my contacts and find Michael's name. I call him, but he doesn't answer. I also call Luke and Ash and they don't answer either. I call who I know might know something and that's Rose. When I call she picks up after three rings.

"Hey Carly. How's everything-"

"Do you know what's going on with the guys?"

"What do you mean?"

"Calum came over and then he left without saying goodbye then when I called him, he seemed off. Is everything okay with them?"

"Michael left about an hour ago, but I can try calling him if you want."

"No it's fine. I just thought that you might know. Thanks anyways." I hang up the phone and go back over to the couch. I don't sit down and instead I look at my car keys. With out even thinking, I grab them and walk out of my house. I get into my car and start it. I put it in reverse and back out of the drive way. I drive to Calum's house and when I get there I knock on the front door and his mom answers the door.

"Carly, what are you doing here?" She asks.

"Calum's acting weird. Is he home?"

"No, I thought he was still with you, but you can wait for him if you'd like." I nod my head and she lets me in. When I walk in, I sit down on the couch and my leg begins to nervously bounce up and down. His mom comes into the living room with a glass of water and she hands it to me. "I'm sure he's just with the boys. I know my son and I know that he loves you and would never do anything to hurt you."

"Thank you Joy. I'm just really worried about him. He's never acted like this before and it's just shaking me up."

"It was probably just a band emergency."

"You're probably right, but I'm going to wait up for him."

"Okay, well have a good night sweetheart."

"You too Joy." She smiles and walks up the stairs and disappears into the darkness.  I take out my phone and try calling Calum again, but he doesn't answer. I put my phone back in my pocket and wait there for about an hour before I hear the door open.
