Chapter 3

LUCY'S POV

" so we rally up our troops and we stand in ranks out-"

" Steve Steve." I laughed while shaking my head.

He turned to me and raised an eyebrow." What?" He asked innocently.

" it's not the 1940s Steve. We don't use 'troops' and 'ranks' at SHIELD." I said while making quotations with my hands.

" well, then how do we say it?" He scoffed.

" hmm let me say it how I would. Tasha and Clint are on the roof, Bruce will be outside the building, hiding in the woods, waiting for the signal. Tony and Thor are in the skies, taking down and keeping watch. You, me, and Brittany are are going to go through three different ways. You in the front, Brittany on the back. And me on the side. Got it?" I said with a smirk.

His eyes widened and pushed me playfully." You wanna play the captain?"

I wrinkled my nose and giggled." I think that's your job Steve." I said, pushing him back.

" are you two going to keep acting like children or are you going to come to the meeting."

I turned around and smiled sweetly." Phil. You know us. Well always be children . And second, yeah well be right there." I said.

I grabbed Steve's hand and we jogged down the halls towards the conference room.

I burst through the doors dramatically and skipped to my seat.

" hey Tasha." I smiled, nudging the redhead beside me.

She smiled back at me and continued to secretly hold hands with Clint underneath the table.

Steve sat on the other side of me.

" wonder what this is about." He whispered in my ear.

I shrugged and smiled, poking his nose." You never know."

Steve and I were now in a full on committed relationship, along with basically every other avenger.

I'm actually really really excited where Brittany's and Fury's relationship is going.

I desperately want cocoa godchildren!

Fury cleared his throat, causing us all to look his way with curiosity.

" why are we here?" Tony groaned, placing his feet up on the table.

We all turned expectantly to fury for an answer.

" your all here , because of the circumstances, to welcome some new temporary team members." He stated, his hand gesturing to the door.

We all turned with excitement to those who walked forward.

The first and only one to walk in was the one and only Spider-Man.

He threw up a peace sign and walked swiftly to the table where he spun around in one of the chairs.

" glad for you to finally join us Pete-"

" whoa whoa whoa!" He yelled and rushed over to me, covering my mouth with his hand.

" do you want to give me away?" He hissed.

I pulled his hand away from my mouth and stuck my tongue out at him.

" we all know who you are Peter Parker."

He growled and took off his mask, throwing it to the side as he stuck his tongue out back at me.

" bad Lucy." He mocked.

I smiled in triumph and looked back to fury.

" so, what's our big plan?" Bruce asked interestedly.

" captain." Fury said.

Steve stood up and walked to the front of the room where he kept a straight face.

" here's how this is going to go. Romanov , Barton, you take the roof, killing anyone in your way. Banner, Parker, I want you two on the west side. Thor, Stark. You guys are going to the sky, no doubt they'll be waiting for you there. Fury, Flynn, your going in the south side. Hilt, you are the communication. You stay here and you make sure our communication stays clear. Lastly East, you and I will go through the front."

" the old fashioned way eh Steve." I smirked.

He smirked back and winked at me." You got that right Lucy." He laughed.

" alright you guys all know what that means?" Emma asked.

We all nodded at each other with a smirk.

" AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!"
