Chapter 45

LUCY'S POV

" hey Irene!" I said to the little five year old in front of me.

She turned her head and widened her big blue eyes." What is it mommy?" She asked with excitement." Daddies coming home tonight!"

She smiled." Really?" I nodded." Ben!!!" She called, scrambling to her feet and running on her short little legs to see her brother.

" daddies coming home tonight!" I heard her call.

I chucked softly and stood, brushing off my pants and getting to work on cleaning the house.

" oh. Irene, Benjamin!" I called. They peeked their little faces in the door.

"Yes mommy?" Benjamin called.

" my brothers coming over."

They grinned." Uncle Sam's coming!!" The started to dance all over the room.

I giggled at their antics." Hurry now. Clean your rooms then get excited."

They nodded their tiny heads and to their rooms and closing the doors.

Steve and now live in a three story house in Brooklyn. It's a beautiful place and I get the basement to work out and practice my moves.

Hopefully one day it'll be for the kids once they find out our secrets. They haven't been really showing powers that they inherited from us but Bruce says it'll be coming soon.

But, Benjamin is showing a lot of strength for a five year old. And I've caught Irene in her sleep, making shocks of electricity come from her hands.

I thought carefully about our life as I cleaned the house and soon the door burst open and Steve came through.

" Steve!" I yelled in happiness. I ran to him and jumped in his arms. He hugged me tightly and kissed my forehead." I've missed you so much." He whispered in my ear.

I kissed him." I missed you too!" He kissed me back until the children's shouts rang out.

" daddy!!" They yelled. Steve kneeled down and hugged them tightly." I missed you guys so much!" He said happily, kissing them each on the forehead.

After they finished saying hello Steve followed me into the kitchen while we waited for Samuel to come.

" how'd it go?" I asked in hushed tone. He sighed heavily." Good. He was harder than others but we got him." I nodded." Good. Sam's coming over. And I already warned him not to say anything about my parents."

Oh yeah. My parents died. Freak accident. Or that's my cover for it. They actually were beheaded right in front of me so....their dead. The kids don't know. Will never know. And besides they never even met them before.

He put his hands on my shoulders." It's alright I won't." I nodded and smiled." Thanks." He grinned back." No problem."

There was a knock on the door.

" ill get it!" Benjamin called, running to the door and reaching up the doorknob.

Sam walked in.

" Sam. You know you don't have to knock. Just walk in." I said, shaking my head and walking to him slowly.

He smirked." Yeah I know sis. If it annoys you ill keep doing it." I rolled my eyes and hugged him." Your a pain."

He laughed and hugged me back." Yeah I know."

" come on. Suppers ready." I said, pulling away from him.

We all sat down on the table and prayed.

Then we ate, and while we did I thought of how amazing my family waS.

Life was basically normal, well at the moment. I love my family and I wouldn't have them any other way.

I love my life.

Simple as that.
