Raghav's POV
🎶🎶
Living in my own world
Didn't understand
That anything can happen
When you take a chance
I never believed in What I couldn't see
I never opened my heart (Oh)
To all the possibilities
🎶🎶With the tournament's facilitation, wrapping up; I walked over to Sasha and her band of boys, to congratulate her for securing the third place. Pretty impressive.
"Hey", I called from behind her.
"Hey, Hi!", Sasha turned, beaming in her victory.
"Congratulations, Sasha!", I wished stretching my hand out. Expecting her slender fingers to glide into mine, but met with a moist palm slamming into mine with force. I flinched slightly at the impact. Closing in the handshake, it felt fleshy, round and big... Bigger than mine. Wait!
"Thanks Man", the grumpy voice made me snap towards my hand. Running up the extended hand, I met Rohit's blazing glare.
Yikes! I yanked my hand away, muttering non-cohorent words under my breath while he was sizing me up.
"I haven't introduced you guys?", asked Sasha and waved to the others standing few meters away, "Guys, over here", she shouted.
Three more brooding men came over and stood in line, with her at the centre. It felt like a conglomarate's heiress, with her four bodyguards, were standing in front of me. Like I said Sasha and her band of boys.
"Everyone, this is Raghav", she announced.
"Raghav, meet my gang. Rohit, from our portfolio. Daniel, AJ aka Arjun Jaitley and Simbu; you might not have met them before as they are from other portfolio's. We've known each other since induction and were training mates. We stuck on to each other, even after the training period got over and have each other's back since then", Sasha introduced them with a proud smile.
I gave a short nod and shook hands with everyone, exchanged a few words on the games and indulged in small talk. Everyone's expressions had mellowed down by now, except for Rohit, What was his problem? He looked even more devilish with the streetlights bouncing off his sneered face.
"Join us, Raghav, we are going over to Domino's for our victory treat. Call Vicky and Asim too", she insisted, while Rohit bore a pissed off look.
"You guys go ahead and enjoy your day. Maybe some other day", I smiled. Before parting, "Don't forget, this treat is pending", widening my smile to a grin and signed off with a wink.
"Your's too!", she chirped, stopping me mid way, "for the successful client visit."
"Sure, sure. Whenever you are free."
🎶🎶
It feels so right to be here with you (oh)
And now looking in your eyes
I feel in my heart (feel in my heart)
The start of something new
🎶🎶
We barely said our goodbye's, when Rohit slightly pulled her to him to walk away; tearing us apart. Clearly irritated by our endless departing chatter, as neither Sasha nor I, wanted to bid adieu anytime soon. She stole a glance at me and I was left watching her fading silhouette disappear into the dark.I didn't want to be a part of her 'band of boys', I wanted to be apart from them and nor did I want to share her attention with four other guys.
