*****Raghav's POV
"Raghav! Rah-ghav!!!"
On hearing my name being called out, I yelled back over my shoulder, at the top of my pitch. "Coming!" I was in the mid of loading the washing machine with the laundry, when I heard my sweet wife's not so sweet voice. Dreading an impending doom ahead, I sighed and made way towards the room she was in.
"Ra—". Sasha's voice died down her throat when her eyes laid their focus on my advancing figure towards her. I could feel her laser-like gaze tracing each cell of my body, in a gruelling slow pace.
Is she—?
Before my inner self could voice out my suspicion on her, she cleared her throat and straightened herself.
"Raghav".
Her voice slightly wavering but she tried her level best to keep her tone neutral. I could just stand their still and admire the enthralling frame-worthy sight in front of me.
A moment of silence passed, when her stern voice boomed in the room. RAGHAV!
"Yes, Hun!" My instant reply escaped through my lips, involuntarily.
"Don't 'Hun' me now!" Back to her usual sassy form, she air-quoted for emphasis.
Confusion crept over my face, "Huh???"
She huffed in annoyance and stated her all favorite accusating line. "This is all because of you!"
The ends of my lips tugged upwards to encourage the smile to grow. "Oh Hun, I don't think so. It takes two to make one." Winking at her with my smile turned smirk, seemed to have just infuriated her more.
She rolled her eyes to say. "Idiot! I'm not talking about my swollen belly", nudging her head in the said direction.
"That's what I was wondering. Why would you accuse me of something you equally enjoyed in the making of it."
"Raghav!" A warning laced in her tone could be heard loud and clear.
"Oh Hun, I would love to hear you take my name in so many different tones. To be honest, this one is not my favorite version of my name". I scrunched my nose to show my displeasure and took a few steps to decrease the distance between us.
"Oh! Such an honest, truthful man you are, Raghav." The hints of sarcasm didn't deter me down.
"I'm loving it that the only word you've been saying the whole morning is my name." I had reached within her arm's distance and my hands just couldn't keep them to themselves, bereft of my lovely wife's embrace. Instantly I slid my arms around her waist and tugged her closer to me, keeping in mind the safety of her and our love-bean growing inside her.
The deep inhale of breath and closure of her eyes, lit a bulb in my brain. Her palms were taking their own sweet time to reach from my stomach to the neck, where they finally met each other in a criss-cross lock. There I stood caged in her arms without any ounce of possible movements. The interlock of her hands at my nape pushed my head further down, to squeeze out the air, that had previously occupied it. As our foreheads met, Sasha heaved a long sigh.
Was it sigh of relief that she had triumphantly removed the distance between us and like the innocuous air was the culprit to keep us apart?
