Raghav's POV
🎶🎶
There goes my heart beating
'Cause you are the reason
I'm losing my sleep
Please come back nowAnd there goes my mind racing
And you are the reason
That I'm still breathing
I'm hopeless now
🎶🎶Sasha stood in front of me with her question hanging in the air. It took me by surprise. In less than an hour, I've been hit by so many shockwaves, it was unbelievable. I wasn't in an ambulance or hospital getting treated, then why did I have to undergo the shocks!? I pushed that thought aside as I had a more important issue at hand.
Did she really suggest for a long distance relationship?!
"Hell ya!", I dammed in determination. "Sasha does that mean a 'yes' to my proposal?", I enquired.
Just the thought that she hadn't outright dismissed me due to her onsite situation, inflated my chest with pride and hopes. Her suggestion hinted of an indirect yes but my ears and brain were hungry for her words to get registered inside me. I needed words and only words to hurl out the negative voice booming within me. They had to be thrown out of the same window, through which they made their way in poisoning my mind.
"Yes, dumbo!" She rolled her eyes as if she couldn't believe I was dim-witted, to not have understood it.
"Yay!", I exclaimed in ecstasy and picked her up to twirl her. My happiness knew no bounds. A squeal of surprise escaped her mouth, "Whoaaa!", followed by her continuous giggles. Her laced fingers rested on my nape for support, when she was up in the air. I couldn't stop myself from twirling, even with our uncomfortable warrior get-up.
🎶🎶
There goes my hand shaking
And you are the reason
My heart keeps bleeding
I need you now
🎶🎶In between her laughs she half-protested, "Ok Raghav, enough now. Put me down! My head is spinning and your's too".
"Girl! Let me bask in my glory for sometime", I shook my head.
She huffed and let out a short laugh, "Put me down, Raghav!". She slammed her palm on my chest to hit me playfully.
"Are you scared that I'll drop you?" I cocked my brow up and stopped the blissful twirls, but didn't let her down.
She scoffed, "Firstly, I weigh like a feather and if you drop me, it just shows your strength. Secondly, if you drop me, you are going to get it nicely from me, after the fall. So, let me down this moment!". She tried to pull up a stern face while demanding, but failed miserably.
I chuckled and shook my head in disagreement. Instead of letting her down, I tossed her higher up and secured her tightly.
"I'm not a baby you know!", she retorted.
"Oh! I'm not so sure about that though", I replied with a thoughtful expression.
Again a playful slap flung onto my chest, making me chuckle.
"Don't worry Sasha, no one's seeing. All are busy dancing away". I whispered in her ears, as I slowly let her down.
She throw a reprimanding glare from the rim of her spectacles. I hugged her tightly but metal clinking against each other was heard.
