Raghav's POV
🎶🎶
Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
🎶🎶
With Sasha moving into the same floor and wing as mine, my desk became her favorite spot to hangout, after Rohit's of course. She had called dibs on my desk. Her desk was at the other side of the aisle towards the farther end. Though there was a good amount of distance between our desks, luckily if I stood up at mine, I could see her face crowning from her workstation. Yes, our starry glances were not going to end anytime soon, to my benefit.
🎶🎶
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
🎶🎶Vicky had come over to my cubicle, to while away sometime with Asim and me. Casually he sat on the desk which was her spot.
"Uh-huh! No! That's not happening", Sasha hot on her heels strode towards us, half-mindedly shaking her head as her gaze was on the floor with her index finger wriggling in the air. All of us turned to look at her with puzzled looks.
"Get down this minute, Vicky", she said looking straight at him. He cocked his eyebrow in question.
"Oh! Look who's here, the great spy with her sniffing nose as a radar", he let out a sarcastic chuckle, teasing her. "Are you sure you are employed at the right place, this is an IT Company, not a secret agency, where your snooping skills can be used?"
Seeing that he didn't budge, she took it in her hands to literally push him down, "Trespassers are not allowed here". Making us all laugh at Vicky's pretentious annoyed look and her triumphant smile as she took her rightful place, as she claimed.
"Give me your phone", Sasha said, more like commanded with her hand extended towards me, impatience ticking off her fingers.
"Why? What happened?", I inquired while fishing it out from my trouser's pocket.
"If you are looking for any games to play, lover boy here doesn't have any", Vicky enlightened us with his superfluous information, as always.
I have him a pointed look, which made him bite back his words, "Oops! I meant Raghav boy".
Can he be more discreet?, I rolled my eyes in frustration. Thankfully, Sasha was busy with my phone, immune to Vicky's words. I should give it to her, for mastering the skill of muting Vicky's voice when not needed.
"Here you go", she said and shoved it back into my hands. Her smile widen, when her ringtone was heard. Like a blinking tubelight, it took me sometime to grasp, that we had just exchanged our phone numbers. Studying my stunned look, Asim dragged Vicky out, before he could come up with another smart retort.
"Hmmm, I'm taking a week's vacation to attend a cousin's wedding..... So if u need to reach me....", she trailed off and slightly shrugged.
🎶🎶
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
🎶🎶
"Your going home then? Or some other place?", I eased myself and asked."Yeah! Home sweet home. Wedding's in Bangalore".
"Nice! Enjoy yourself", I smiled at her, "When are you leaving?"
She cringed and scrunched her tiny nose, "Tomorrow evening, after office. I'm going home after 3-4 months, I guess. Trust me there's nothing to enjoy, weddings are gruesome..... I'm happy for the couple but if the wedding was minus all the nagging aunt's and grilling, I would enjoy it.... I'm walking straight into hell I feel. Wish me luck that I'll be able to survive the week. Or else I'll need another week's leave to recover from it".
