Raghav's POV
🎶🎶
Baby, lay on back and relax,
kick your pretty feet up on my dash
No need to go nowhere fast,
let's enjoy right here where we at

Sitting up on my bed, after a good night's sleep, I stretched my arms and cracked my neck to release the stiffness. Stifling an emerging yawn with my hand, I let my free hand take possession of my phone. It had become a routine — to send Sasha a Good morning message, even before I left my bed. The best way to start my day and the recent photos she had shared were a bonus; a grateful blessing that was showered on me by an angel."Oh No.... Ooohh Nooo!", my voice scaled from a whisper to an ear-splitting howl, followed by a string of curses.
Vicky rushed in with a toothbrush in his mouth and toothpaste mixed with saliva was dripping off his half-open mouth. "What happened?", his wobbly voice muffled by the toothpaste, was heard as he dislodged his brush from his mouth.
"Yuck!! Get out of here before you turn my roon into a mess..... What the hell are you doing here, like that–", circling his mouth area, "Go to the washroom you dumb creature."
"Hey! I thought you were in some sort of danger, heard your shrills.....like someone was kidnapping you or something worse..... So much for the concern", Vicky huffed.
"DON'T. START. IT ", I warned him, not wanting my emerging headache to worsen with his snappy rebuts. Thank God he got the message loud and clear and left quietly.
While happily chomping away his food loudly, "Stop digging holes in the floor and your bank account — your landlord will not let you escape without fixing the damages", Vicky commented on my vigorous pacing in the living room.
"Won't you ask, why I'm like this?", I turned my head sideways to face him.
"Nope!", came his instant reply, "Let me refresh your brain, you asked me to stay out of it and I'm doing just that", he gave a wide smile which had hidden intentions.
I know he was dying to hear it, but wanted me to divulge the details without him asking directly. Trying to be subtle, Vicky.... But I know you inside and out. No wonder he was eating loudly to make his presence known.
Not able to determine how to resolve the issue in hand and desperately in need of a third person's point of view, I showed him the message. I had checked it numerous times to see if Sasha had replied. What was worse, she had seen it fourty-two minutes earlier but still nothing from her side. Was she giving me the silent treatment? I'm in trrr-ooouubbbllle!!
"So?", Vicky's nonchalant reply dragged me out of my thoughts.
"That's it? That is your response to it?"
"Yeah!", he went back to his food and fisted a thumbs up with a fork in his hand, "Good, I see you have at last, got your balls together and made a move."
"It wasn't my move", I yelled exasperatedly.
"Then make it one." I cocked my brows in annoyance to his one-liner.
This is the time he chooses to be reserved, a 360 degree turn to his chatty nature.
Heaving a small sigh, he continued, "See Raghav, there's only two ways to go about it. Either own up your mistake or like they say — When life gives you lemons, make lemonade", he ended with a shrug.
