Tuesday morning.

Why I loved Tuesdays. Compared to every other first days of the week, Tuesdays had the least subjects and the subjects were with teachers I could actually stand and possible enjoy.

Also Tuesday's lessons always ended early, so I had just enough time to visit the library. I liked our school library, it had just been newly renovated, so now we had actual air-conditioning, computers and great books. A dream come true.

But things were different on this Tuesday morning. Prior to the things that took place yesterday, my friends now hated me. That's right, none of the girls were speaking to me and that was why I had gone to sit with Mercy whose seat partner had moved to the back to sit with someone else.

So now I was on a different row from those jerks and I was sitting with someone who always had my back. Things weren't so bad after all, I think.

The moment I heard the bell signaling the end of break, I grabbed my pen and notebook and rushed out of the class and straight for the library which was a minute away.

Stepping through the library doors was heaven as I was hit with the artificially cool air. So our school library was another building on its own and was located near the school gate. It was basically divided into two parts, the front having complete seats on both sides separated by book shelves and the back having only one side filled with seats and the other side filled with rows of book shelves.

I went to the back, it was quite isolated this afternoon and I liked it just that way. If it were before, I'd never go to the library alone unless I wanted to seem like a loser. But today, I was alone.

On my way to where I was currently sitting, I has grabbed 2 novels and was completed buried into one the books when I heard the sound of a chair being pulled out.

Ignore and Read. The two things I told myself as I tried so badly to enjoy the book to no avail. I finally looked up, only to lock eyes with an Ekun boy.

I didn't know this one by name but by face, he was very familiar. I'd seen him hang around those bad boys from time to time, so I was assuming he was bad. "Can I help you?"

He pursed his lips for a second before leaning back into his chair. "Where are your sisters?" He arched an eyebrow at me, picking up the pen I'd earlier placed on the notebook I brought.

"What are you saying?" I felt my face morph into this look that emmited irritation, he was giving a very terrible first impression. "Where's Maureen and the rest?" I immediately threw a hiss at him which he was quite taken aback by as I picked my book up and tried to block his face out.

"Ahn. What did I do?" I rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see me and put the book down. "If you're looking for Maureen, check her class, I'm trying to read."

Then there was this airy silence. None of us said a thing. There was me glaring at him and there was him, giving me a confusion mixed with amusement stare. "Okay, Poppy."

My glare faded as I eyed him warrily, only Emeka called me Poppy. Another person decided to join our little get together and shoved this guy into the seat beside him. Think of the devil and he shall appear at your table. Emeka occupied the seat the boy was formerly in and leaned on the table, pushing his face close to mine.

"Guy, I swear you no get sense." The guy grumbled as he adjusted himself properly into his new seat. He lightly shoved Emeka on his shoulders, showing his disapproval towards Emeka's previous action.

But his eyes remained on my face, a drunk grin never falling from his lips as he blinked rapidly at me like a girl trying to flirt but failing. "What?" I asked eyeing him with a cautious look on my face.

"Choi, ya fine o." I did all I could to keep a nasty blush from taking over my face, pressing my lips into a thin line to keep from smiling. "Why are you here?" Emeka sighed and sat back upright, "We're checking up on you for your boyfriend."

"Daniel?" My brows furrowed, followed by a hiss from that other boy who still had my pen in his grasp. "Please who is this?" I not so kindly asked as I thrusted my thumb in the other boys direction.

"Wait. You don't know me?" I proceeded to yawn as I leaned into my fist, using the table for support. "You're not Justin Bieber, so no." His cool exterior simply vanished as he seemed offended at me not knowing who he was.

Then once again, he adjusted himself and after licking his lips, introduced himself. "The names Ebuka. Ebuka Okoro." There it was. I sat up. Now it rang a bell. He was on the track team. My face must have shone with recognition cause he smirked and leaned backwards into his seat. Placing his hands behind his head as he rocked his seat back and forth.

The librarian was absent today and the library prefect was incharge. She was pretty nice, so people usually did whatever they wanted as long we didn't destroy any books or make too much noise. That was why I simply shook my head as he rocked the seat, silently praying he would end up falling.

"Ode." Emeka spat at him. "His name is Chukwuebuka Okafor Okoro. The guy likes to form fresh too much but he's not fresh at all, lemme not cast sha." I giggled lightly as Ebuka smacked Emeka upside the head and Emeka eyed his with a snarl.

When they both noticed me watching, Ebuka went back to rocking his seat while Emeka proceeded to fill me in on their reason for gracing me with their presence. "Danie dearest said we should make sure you're not talking to any fine boys except me sha." I laughed a little at the end.

I didn't take offence thought because it was obvious Daniel was doing all this for show, so I just nodded at them. Before I could return back to my book, the school bell rang and it was time for the next period.

The two boys got up simultaneously and waved at me, shocking me, before proceeding to leave. I gathered the novels and stacked them into a pile before picking up my note book and leaving. It wasn't until the teacher got in that I realized that Ebuka had stolen my pen.

And there it is. New characters for my readers to eat up. And here are some pictures of the school library with Ebuka in it.
