Chapter 18: Link

Syn's POV

D*mn. Napahalukipkip ako at tumigil sa paglalakad habang nakatingin sa likod ng babaeng pugita. Ano ba kasing pumasok sa isip ng babaeng 'to?

Kusa rin siyang napatigil at lumingon sa'kin. “What now?”

Inirapan ko siya. “Bakit ka ba sumunod sa babaeng 'yon?” Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko. Paano naman namin makikita ang reyna sa lugar na 'to?

“Didn't you hear what she said?” Wika niya. Kumunot ang noo ko sa tanong niya. “This may be our chance.” She whispered at mukhang desidido siya. “This place shouldn’t exist at all. I'm supposed to be dead, so is my sister. I don't want to suffer anymore. If the Queen created this place, there must be a way to reverse it and she's the only one who knows how.”

“I don't get it. Bakit gusto mong hanapin ang Reyna?” Naguguluhang tanong ko.

She smirked. “As you may already know, Heiress Zeira was linked to the Reincarnation cirle in Wrediff City,” she started explaining. Tahimik lang kaming nakinig. “That’s basically the reason why we need her… to unlock the circle and to destroy the city, which is the wall separating Lost World and Other World. But since she's gone, I need you, to look for the Queen. She will do the job.”

I laughed hysterically. “Baliw ka ba? Hahanapin namin ang reyna para siya ang mag-unlock ng Reincarnation circle? Para saan? Para makaalis kayo rito?” Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko.

She shook her head, “Not just us but also you. Ayaw mo bang umalis dito? Ayaw mo bang makasama ang mga kaibigan mo sa Otherworld? Ayaw mo bang makasama si… Riley?” Kumunot ang noo ko sa huli niyang tanong. What the hell?

Bago pa ako makapagsalita, bigla nalang sumabat si Red. “Paano ka naman nakasisigurong ang Reyna ang gumawa ng magic circle na 'yon?”

Tumaas ang kilay niya. “Because, I just know.”

“And you believe na susunod kami sayo?” Red said with a grimace.

“Of course, Scarlet. Dahil alam ko kung gaano mo kagustong mawala nang tuluyan ang lugar na 'to. I will help you vanish, together with your crazy sister.” She offered. Halatang halata na nakuha nito ang atensyon ni Red.

Napayuko siya at hindi nakapagsalita. She looks like she's thinking pero alam kong tempted rin siyang um-oo.

When she finally broke the silence, the only word I heard is, “Deal.”

Kung iisipin, may point naman talaga si Red. Without Aurora, pwede naman talaga namin hanapin ang Queen kung siya talaga ang gumawa ng Magic Circle na 'to. Pero paano?

Hindi nalang ako nagsalita at sumunod sa kanya. Naglalakad kami palapit sa Reincarnation Circle sa Wrediff City. Hindi pa namin ulit nakikita si Aurora pero alam kong nanonood lang siya sa malapit. Habang papalapit kami ng papalapit sa Reincarnation Circle na 'to, mas lalo kong nararamdaman ang kapangyarihan kong bumabalik. This world is amazing but deadly.

“What's the plan?” I asked her.

She was looking intently at the Reincarnation Circle. “We need to channel the power of this magic circle and do a locator's spell to see where the link is coming from.”

I nodded. “Edi umpisahan na natin.”

“Wait—” she said. “There are risks with channeling powers from this magic circle. It may show us both location of Zeira and the Queen but it will not even show us whether it is from here or the Otherworld.” She said worriedly.

My forehead creased. “So? Then we just need to keep looking until we see kung saan 'yong totoong location, right?” Ano bang kinakatakot niya?

Tumango siya habang nakatingin pa rin sa magic circle. “You’re right. But we need to do it quickly.” She stopped. “If we channel this magic circle longer than our power could take… we may break it or worst, it may break us.”

Kinilabutan ako sa sinabi niya. “What do you mean?”

She looked at me, and that may be the most serious face she has given me dahil hindi naman kami magkasundo. “We may vanish if the power of the magic circle took over us. Ayaw kitang madamay sa ganoong sitwasyon dahil dinamay ka lang naman ng kapatid ko dito, at ayoko ring mawala ng hindi siya kasama. Vanishing from here na hindi nalalagay ang katawan mo sa Otherworld means being gone forever, Syndrie. Are you willing to take that risk?”

Zeira's POV

Hindi ako makapaniwalang nakatingin sa magic bubble na nagpapakita ng memory ko. Paano nangyari 'to?

“This is insane!” Napatayo ako sa inuupuan ko. I looked at my father who's looking at me disappointedly. “I know what I saw, Dad. Syn is not our enemy,” I said and shifted my gaze to Chelsea. “That b*tch is.” Naikuyom ko ang kamao ko dahil sa galit nang ngitian niya lang ako.

“Enough, Zeira!”

I froze when my Dad shouted. I looked at him and I can see why he became the king. He looks furious and he's not looking at me as his daughter.

I gritted my teeth in frustration. I hate what's happening right now but I'm not going to be beaten by this b*tch. “How can you all be fooled by a mere witch?” Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko.

“You should stop, Heiress. Alam naming ginagawa mo lang 'to dahil ayaw mong mapahamak ang Alistair mo.” Master Hans said.

“That's right, Heiress.” Segunda ni Mistress Herina. “Maybe you just need to rest.”

They are all looking down at me like I'm the most pitiful person in this room. And, I f*cking hate it. I'm the heiress of this kingdom but they're all treating me like a liar. And why? Just because of a witch. A mere witch! This is the last straw.

I ran towards Chelsea and the next thing I knew is nasa ere na siya while I'm holding her neck. I'm a half vampire kaya hindi nila ako napigilan agad.

“Zeira!”

“Heiress/Missy!”

I am looking at her with so much hate while she's struggling to breath. Kung magiging problema ko pa siya hanggang sa susunod, why not just kill her now?

I can feel the Senior Leaders light and I don't know how but I know that they will use it against me para bitawan si Chelsea. I can also see Wren na nagtatangkang umatake so I shielded us. They won't win against me dahil may bilis at lakas ako ng isang vampire, at kaya kong magchat ng spells by thinking of it. I won't waste this precious power anymore dahil lang sa kabaitan na matagal ko nang gustong tanggalin sa sarili ko.

I looked at Chelsea. “Why don't you show me your smirk, Chelsea? I would like to see it while I'm slowly killing you in front of these Welshes na paniwalang paniwala sayo.” I said, laughing.

She also laughed kahit na mukhang hirap na hirap na siya. “Y-you know I-I c-can go b-back here—” I let go of her and throw her out of the Great Hall, that made her stop talking. I know what she's going to say and I hate to hear it.

Mabilis akong lumabas ng Great Hall. “Lisiero.” I chanted to lock the whole hall so that no one could get out.

I still can see my father looking at me like he doesn't know me, anymore. I'm sorry, Dad but this is all for your sake… for the Kingdom's sake.

Tinignan ko si Chelsea na sugatan na dahil ang layo ng nabagsakan niya. She has bruises on her body and blood all over her face but she still manages to stand.

I smiled at her sweetly. “I know you're going back here kapag pinatay kita. So I won't kill you for now but I will leave you a mark that will make you want to die.” And with that, I went to her, hinatak ko ang braso niya… then I bit her. As long as I'm done, I looked up to her shocked face, “Welcome to Lairhart Kingdome. I will make sure your stay here will be a living hell…” Like how I'm feeling right now.
