"Can you please tell your admirer to stop sending you gifts in my office?" Caleb suddenly said while massaging the bridge of his nose, he was a bit irritated I could tell.
After Felix and I talked, maraming nagbago. He started giving me gifts and flowers. Last week, the flowers and gifts were sent to Aly's condo, pero ngayon pati sa opisina ni Caleb ay pinapadalhan niya na rin ako ng bulaklak. Maybe Aly told him about my new work kaya nalaman niya kung saan ako nagtatrabaho. Kinausap ko na rin si Felix na tumigil na sa pagpapadala, but he keep telling me that I deserve it.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know he would do this again. I already told him to stop." I looked away and placed the flowers on my back.
"Just make sure this won't happen again. His actions are being a nuisance to the people in this company. I can't let this pass again and again, Bea."
"I-I will talk to him. I'm sorry. I'll make sure this won't happen again."
Marahan lang siyang tumango at bumalik sa kanyang ginagawang trabaho. I was doing nothing all day. Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa ba 'ko dahil binabayaran ako ni Caleb kahit na maghapon akong tumunganga.
"Wala ba talaga akong gagawin na kahit ano?" I asked for the ninth time. I put down the book I am reading para tumingin sa kanya.
Napalingon si Caleb sa'kin kaya umayos ako sa pagkakaupo. This is a bad idea. Baka masisante pa 'ko nito.
"I-I mean uhm.. I want to do something productive." I looked away, trying to calm myself. I've been working for a month now pero natatakot parin talaga ako sa mga titig niya.
"Ipagtimpla mo nalang ako ng kape tapos umuwi ka na." malamig niyang sabi.
"O-Okay."
Tumayo ako at pinagtimpla siya ng kape. I put it on his table habang abala siya sa harap ng kanyang Laptop. By 5pm, I grab my things and bid my goodbye before walking out of the building. Pagkauwi ko, Aly was already in the couch watching the television with two big bowls of popcorn placed in the coffee table.
"Hey, maaga ka yata ngayon?" tanong ko habang nalalakad papunta sa kwarto.
"Yeah, I'm planning to have a movie night with you. Masyado akong na-stress sa trabaho." humalakhak siya ng hilaw. Napahinto ako at lumingon sa kanya habang nakakunot ang noo.
"What happened at work, Aly?" I asked.
"Wala. Naiinis lang ako kay Daddy." she gave me a small smile. I went to my room to take a shower and get dressed. I blow dried my hair and wear my pikachu printed pajamas before sitting beside Aly.
"Did you tell Felix where I'm working?"
"Uh, yeah. Nagpadala kasi siya ng bulaklak sa opisina. Baka kung anong isipin ng ama ko, Bea. Kaya ayun sinabi ko kung saan ka na nagtatrabaho."
"You should've done that. Pinagalitan na naman ako ni Caleb kanina dahil sa mga bulaklak ni Felix. I'll just talk to him. You should order something. Tinatamad akong magluto."
Tumango si Aly. I went to my room to call Felix. Nakailang ring pa 'ko bago niya sinagot.
"Hey." I greeted.
"Hey baby, napatawag ka?" I rolled my eyes dahil sa tinawag niya sa'kin.
"Could you please stop calling me those cringe endearments."
