"you know I'm only in London for another day"

His revelation catches me off guard, I had totally forgot that the band was only here for a week before they traveled the rest of the country. "oh yeah I totally forgot that you didn't live here"

"I could drive down to see you on my off days and you could come up to see me. If we can't make it work when we're in the same country how could it work when I go back to the US"

"it's not gonna be easy, you can't just go back to your old ways when we're apart"

"Rose I wouldn't dream of it, so does that mean we're back together"

I shake my head, I had only decided to give him another chance because I had dwelled on the story the old man had told me at the poker bar back in Vegas "after 1 date you can't be serious, I'm willing to make the effort to date you. I don't want to rush things again. A week ago I wouldn't have even thought of agreeing to date was possible"

"OK ill take what I can get, I don't have a show next Thursday"

"where would you be Thursday then"

"were performing in Liverpool Wednesday then Manchester Friday"

"OK so how about I meet you in Manchester Thursday and I'll leave after your show Friday"

"you want to come to the show"

"I didn't get to enjoy it last time" I reply with a shrug.

"yeah that sounds good, I would have suggested you leave Saturday but we will be travelling to Aberdeen straight after the Manchester show" he says as he checks his cell.

"OK ill sort a hotel out and I'll get a train up early Thursday"

"you could share my room"

"yeah nice try" I laugh and smack his arm.

We eat our meal stopping only to speak, it's surprisingly relaxed. I don't feel pressured to be anyone other than me.

We've been stood at my door now for 10 minutes, I would invite him in but its too soon. It is only our first date after all.

"I'd better go we leave early"

I nod, I wonder whether he will kiss me. I'm not wondering long.

His lips attack mine, he moves so fast that I don't notice his hands slipping into my hair. This kiss is pure passion, there's 2 years of lust In one kiss. It's almost too much, I can feel the need. He needs me as much as I need him.

Flashback

Dad is mad, I've never seen him like this. Mum isn't even speaking, she silent which is more scary.

"What were you thinking" he shouts, he's so loud that I jump.

I look at Ark who in turn looks at Dianne, she looks sheepish.

"It was just suppose to be a couple of people" Dianne replies, she's looking at the ground.

"Dianne there was at least a hundred idiots in here, what possessed you to throw a party in my house"

"It wasn't really a party"

"Look at the state of this place, if this isn't your idea of a party I don't want to know what is. It was wild in here"

I look at the living room and wince, it is a mess. There's broken furniture, graffiti on the walls and empty bottles on every surface. I had been so preoccupied with ark that I hadn't noticed the chaos around me
