Arks POV

Rose looks so relaxed around her family, I've been in contact with her family now for the last year. It was a way for me to feel close to rose plus I had hoped I would see her at a family event. Barry and Suzanne are like my family now, after everything I did to their daughter they still allowed me to be a part of their lives. I have good relationships with most of her family, I do see why they all complain about June though. That woman is a walking red flag.

Suzanne again holds a plate of meat in front of me, I'm not up to eating today so I shake my head.

"Your too skinny, you need to eat"

"I've always been skinny" I retort.

"She likes her men big , see" Roses dad says rubbing his protruding stomach.

I sit back on the lawn chair and take a sip of my water, Rose is watching me. In fact she's been watching me all day. I'm beyond hyped when she told me she was here for three months its amazing, i have so many plans for us. I want to spend every minute with her. We have two year's to make up for, I want to fill her life with memories of us and our love. Our time on earth isn't guaranteed it's borrowed so we need to make the most of it.

Rose sits on my lap and moves in close to me, she rests her head on my shoulder. I feel so close to her, I hadn't expected her to show me affection in front of her family but she must find it just as hard as I do to be apart.

"Your cold"

I shake my head but don't argue when she drapes a blanket over us. This feels right, it may have been the wrong time before but now I'm ready to be with rose and give her all of me.

"So What do you want to do tomorrow' I ask.  Penelope is visiting for 2 days. I have a lot of years to make up with her too.

"Penelope is visiting for her birthday, I was going to take her to the zoo. Make up for lost times and I would like it if you came and get to know her a little more"

" You and your animals" Rose laughs as she rubs her hands on the animals inked on my skin.

"Do you think she would want a Jeep" I still can't believe Roses uncle persuaded me to buy it.

"She will love it" rose smirks. I had been joking but the more i think about it he more i think its a good idea. 

"I think ill pass" Ethan states, i dont recall inviting him.

"You can come to Venice beach with us, wait until you see the guys." Dianne winks at him, her poor fiancé really does have a handful with her. Ethan's eyes light up as he the looks at the screen of his phone, hes looking at photos of Venice beach and the muscular men who reside there.

"looks like me back in the day" Barry says as he glances at the screen, Suzanne laughs but doesn't correct him.

"are you ready to go back to the hotel" Rose asks Ethan.

"arent you all staying here" Suzanne asks asks.

"what about the rules" i ask

"do you not think i heard about the time you crawled out of Roses bedroom naked, my neighbours do talk" Suzanne says, i feel Rose stiffen.

Barry gives me a stern look before he bursts into laughter, i was scared for a while. 

Rose takes a huge sigh of relief "i think were going to back to the hotel, all our stuffs there and i really want a shower"

"ill drive you, ive only had water all day"  Rose stands and starts to gather her things.

"Me and Spike will stay" Dianne offers

Barry laughs " rose and Ark would have the good sense to wait until we are asleep to have sex you wouldn't so no. Go on Ark will drop you off home on the way to the hotel wont you"

"sure " i agree.  Get me out of here, i really don't like Roses parents casually discussing my sex life.

"why don't you and Ethan stay at my place"

"ok "

"ok" I repeat, I hadn't expected her to agree so easily. 

"It makes sense, I want to spend as much time with you as possible and Ethan wants to experience the rock star lifestyle" 

"well that was easy, why dont you pack and we will head there now"

"why dont we spend the night here, i really do want a shower and get in bed"

i sigh but i dont argue " ok ill come and get you in the morning"

"i didnt say you had to leave, you could stay here and share my bed. Im sure i can even make room for you in my shower"

I dont need asking twice, i kick off my shoes and get naked before Rose reaches the bathroom. I walk in behind her and start to peel her clothes from her body, she smells like wild flowers. oh ive missed this smell. 

we step into the steamy shower and i run my hands down her naked body, i stop when i reach her feather tattoo. "you still have it"

"yes"

"i love you"

"i love you babe, always have, always will"

We have raw passionate sex against the shower wall, her nails dig in my neck as she screams my name. i havent felt this good in a very long time. Its all so overwhelming, i feel lightheaded. i turn the shower head so the cold water covers us, Rose screams which makes me laugh. Rose jumps out of the shower and covers herself in a small towel that barely covers her ample breast.

"you ok, you look a little pale" Rose looks worried.

"it was just really hot, and im not just talking about the water" i smirk. I thought i was going to faint , i felt so dizzy. Just looking at Rose makes me feel weak, i open the window and take in the cool night air. 

"come to bed, you want to be well rested when we meet Penelope" 

I slide in the small bed beside her and wrap her in my arms, now i have her i will do everything i can to keep her. Anytime i get with her will never be enough.
