"oh no, you kids go without us"

"Suzanne you and Barry have to come celebrate with us, I've hired a huge villa for all of us. You don't want me to have wasted money do you" Ark is trying to guilt my parents into coming to Vegas with us. Ludo had flown in straight after his dramatic exit from the interview and has demanded everyone join him for one last huge party before the band retired.

"You don't want us there" mum argues.

"Yeah we're in" Dad didn't take much convincing. His eyes lit up as soon as Ark said Vegas

"But if everyone's going who will have the grandkids"

"It's all been arranged" Mary looks as excited as dad, I think Ark is right my sister's and parents do need a break. I had protested initially when he suggested taking them to sin city for a short vacation but I'm happy that he wore me down

"We can celebrate the Rose Kline boutique while we're there" dad says proudly.

"Hillary's promotion, Dianne's enhancement and June's new house. We do have a lot to be proud of" dad adds, he's beaming with pride.

"And you all want to go and want us to tag along" mum asks again.

We all nod, mum lifts her arms in defeat. "Everyone go home and pack, meet back here in an hour"

"The limo comes in two so don't be late"

"Limo"mum repeats.

"We have to arrive at the airstrip in style" Ark is finding mum's reaction amusing.

"What air provider are we using" mum asks

Ark laughs "were not, private jet baby"

"Classy" June whistles.

"Class all the way when your in my family". Ark replies.

I follow mum upstairs to help her pack, she insists that dad isn't capable of packing his own clothes so we have to fill a suitcase for him too.

"It's hot in Vegas isn't it"

"It is in the middle of the desert" I reply.

Mum carefully packs dad's case while I arrange her clothes, my parents have never been to Vegas but my dad has talked about taking mum there for years. He often jokes that he will take her to get married for a second time but she says one life sentence is enough.

I can hear my dad, Ethan and Ark discussing the rental and what the plans were while we were away. Dad wants to gamble , Ethan wants to party and Ark just wants enjoy the sun and get to know the family more. I just have done something good in a previous life.

"He doesn't know what he's letting himself in for, he hasn't seen the tip of this families crazy' mum muses. I also think that Ark doesn't know what hes just sighed up for. When my family let loose they really do, especially my dad. After a few beers he gets brave but my mum she looses all filter after a few drinks. On the other hand my families eyes are going to be blown wide open when they spend the time with the band. They've spent time with Ark when he's been drinking but not when he has the band with him. Together they are so unpredictable, a  quiet meal can end up in sky diving in Arizona.

Ark had invited his mum to vegas so she could meet my family, she plans on joining us for a few nights later in the week. Penelope refuses to come as she doesn't want to be around the band and all the madness but she met my parents the night the band spoke to the reporter so Ark didn't pressure her to come.

"We don't have expensive clothes, we won't embarrass you will we"

My heart breaks that she would even answer the question " mum this dress was $13 from target, no one cares what brand you wear if you wear it with confidence. plus I could never be embarrassed of you"

"Those are words I never thought I would here"

"What that I'm not embarrassed"

"No that you bought your outfit at target"

I've experienced luxury before and it's not my first time on a private jet but I'm still amazed as we take our seats.

"Were not in kansas anymore" dad says before whistling.

"It's bigger than our house" Mary comments. For once June is speechless.

"I brought drinks and snacks" Hillary comments as she pulls out two bags of food.

"It will only take an hour to get there, no one will want your snacks" June says bitchily.

"Ooh I'll have some Arizona ice tea, your a legend" Ark says before Hillary reacts.

Hillary turns to June and gives her a look that says I told you.

"Thank you" mum mouths.

Ethan thrusts his cell in everyones face as he takes a million photos. He turns his cell to show me the screen and it's ark and I sat in our seats with our hands clasped together, we look so relaxed.

"Send me that" ark ask politely. I watch as he uploads it to all his social media, with anyone else it would not be a big deal but ark doesn't post ever. The only time anything gets posted is when Maggie is promoting a new album or tour. The caption he chooses is "my love" he even tags me in the post, my heart swells.

Everyone sips on champagne as the plane sets off, it feels amazing getting to share this special experience with my family. Ark has done so much to make the trip amazing, he's arranged everything from travel to fun experiences. The band are throwing a huge party at Arks Vegas home, he said he didn't trust people to party in the rental property he had hired for my family. I've seen first hand the chaos caused when Ark and his friends party so I dread to think what damage will occur to his home.

"It's gonna be a trip to remember"

"Noah is that a threat" mum jokes.

"It sure is"
