I feel like I'm trying too hard
And not saying enough.
I'm saying too much,
But just not to you.
I'm lost.
I'm lost in my mind,
In my feelings, in you.
I wish it was more than just me.
But it's not.
It's just me, wandering alone,
Hoping one day you would join, too.
Will you?
I think I'm wrong.
I don't think you'll come along,
But I can dream it, hope it, write it
And maybe you'll hear my song.
But you won't.
It's not good enough.
I'm not good enough.
You don't know I'm here.
You might've, but I'm too late.
Did you walk out that door?
Could you come back?
If I yelled it would be silent,
I can't speak, my words don't breach the air.
You left.
Because
I never
Said a
Word.
