Bright blue eyes make the wrong impression,
Scars and bruises hide someone's depression,
A bright smile discovers a friendship recession.

And until we're alone, our tears hold fast.
Our truths bend steady
Until we are truly, surley, ready
To share our hidden meanings,
And to see the twinkling eyes who are actually pleading.
