It's been about a week since the incident.
Things are finally starting to return back to normal, just as you had hoped. Jimin has stopped blaming himself for everything that has happened and your mother has started to turn back into her normal self.
Today, you have an appointment with Dr. Kim and Jimin insists on coming with you. So after breakfast, the two of you get going.
Hi. I have an appointment with Dr. Kim? You prepared your notepad beforehand so that the receptionist wouldn't have to wait.
She smiles at you warmly. "Yes, he's waiting for you in Room 129. It's down the hall and to the left, the first door on your right."
You nod to her as a thank you, following her directions. Just as she said, Dr. Kim is already waiting for you in the room.
"Alpha, Luna." He bows to the two of you respectfully.
You take a seat in the patient's chair. "How are you feeling today?"
You give him a thumbs up.
"Good. I'm going to ask you a few questions and you're just going to nod your head yes or no, okay?"
You nod.
"Any trouble breathing? Memory loss? Dizziness or nausea? Black spots in your vision?"
You shake your head no to all of those things. Overall, you feel like you have been getting better everyday.
"Fantastic." He smiles. "Is it alright if I examine your neck area to see how things are looking?"
You nod and he stands up. He moves closer to you, closely looking at the area of your neck. He gently touches the skin and surprisingly, you barely feel any pain.
Then he sits back in his chair, writing some information down on his clipboard. "Your neck is healing nicely. The skin is still tender, but the bruises seem to be fading and the swelling is going down. Continue taking your pain medications and we'll take it from there."
You nod gratefully. "Thank you Dr. Kim." Jimin says as the two of you leave the room.
You're approaching the exit of the hospital, about to walk through the doors when Jimin suddenly stops in his tracks. He pulls you to a stop too, since his hand is in yours.
You turn to him, furrowing your eyebrows as if to ask him what's wrong. "Yoongi just mind linked me, Helena's water broke."
Your eyes widen and you quickly begin writing on your notepad. Are they on their way here?
Jimin reads it, nodding. "Do you want to stay here and wait?"
You nod and the two of you take a seat in the waiting room. It's an anxious wait, your foot tapping against the floor as you hold Jimin's hand tightly.
But soon enough, Yoongi and Helena arrive through the large double doors. Quickly seeing the state that she's in, a few nurses help her to a room. You want to jump up and stand by her side, but you know that the last thing she needs right now is a bunch of people crowding around her as she's giving birth.
So you and Jimin wait patiently in the waiting room. You take naps, eat snacks from the vending machine, anything you can do the pass the time.
After many hours, just when Jimin has convinced you to go home and get some rest, Yoongi comes out of the room.
He looks tired, but also incredibly happy as he approaches you. "It's a boy." He grins. "Do you want to come see him?"
You nod enthusiastically, following him to the room Helena is in. You push open the door, smiling when you see Helena laying on the bed in a hospital gown. She looks down lovingly at the adorable baby boy in her arms.
He's so cute. You write and show it to her.
"Thank you." She smiles softly.
"What's his name?" Jimin asks quietly, as if not to disturb the child.
"Sawyer, his name is Sawyer." She rocks the child gently. "Do you want to hold him?" She looks at you.
You nod and move closer to the hospital bed. She gently transfers the sleeping child into your arms. You smile down at the baby boy, gently rocking him in your arms.
Then you look at Jimin, who is brimming with excitement. You give him a questioning look and he nods. So you put Sawyer in his arms and Jimin looks at the child with utmost adoration and happiness, as if Sawyer is his own. It makes your heart melt.
Then you start thinking about what it would be like to see Jimin holding your son or daughter.
Okay so maybe you have a little bit of baby fever..
