You need to earn his trust back.
After losing control and almost marking Jimin without his consent, you feel like you need to make it up to him somehow. So you think it would be a good idea to go for a run together. It seems like a great way for the two of you to emotionally connect. Also, you're sure Jimin hasn't let his wolf out in a while.
"Good morning, baby." You shake his shoulder gently to wake him up the next morning.
He yawns, stretching lazily as you release your grip around his waist. "Morning."
"I wanted to go on a run with you today, just the two of us. What do you think?"
His eyes open and he smiles widely. "That sounds really fun."
"Okay, great!" You grin, glad that he likes your idea. "After breakfast, I have some work to do but then I'm free for the rest of the day."
_________
After a lot of thought, you decide to stay firm on your decision about the rogue pack. "Yoongi, please trust me on this."
Your Beta sighs, locking eyes with you. You've built your relationship with him on trust and you're asking him to give it to you just one more time. "Alright." He says warily. "If you see or hear anything suspicious, let me know."
"Thanks, Yoongi." You smile at your best friend. The edge of his lip twitches with the hint of a smile, but he suppresses it. Instead, he rolls his eyes at you before heading towards the door.
"Have fun with your mate later!" He calls out, leaving your office before you can say anything else.
He's annoying, but you love him.
After finishing your work for the day, you sneak downstairs to the kitchen. It's empty because the chefs haven't started cooking dinner yet. Grabbing some ingredients from the fridge, you make some sandwiches and cut up some fruit.
You do it quickly, knowing that Jimin could come looking for you any minute. Then you get to the messy part. Grabbing a chocolate bar from the fridge, you warm it up in a small bowl. You dip some strawberries in the melted chocolate before putting them on a baking sheet, sticking it in the freezer.
You breathe out a sigh of relief when you finish without getting caught. Now that you're done preparing your surprise, you head back upstairs to your mate.
When you open your bedroom door, you find him sitting on the bed, fully engrossed in a book. You almost don't want to disturb him. "What are you reading?" You ask curiously, taking a seat next to him.
"Oh, some mystery book I found in the library." He shrugs. "When Helena took me on the tour of the house, I grabbed a few books I thought were interesting. I hope you don't mind." He blinks up at you.
"I don't mind at all." You offer him a small smile, kissing his cheek gently. "What's mine is yours." He grins. "Ready to go?"
He nods, reaching over to put the book on the nightstand. You grab his hand, leading him outside. You walk in the opposite direction that you would normally go to head into town. There are a few houses this way, but you eventually reach the edge of the woods.
You let go of Jimin's hand, immediately beginning to strip off your clothes. He quickly turns away, his cheeks reddening. "Sorry." You mumble. Stupid Y/n, you're messing this up already.
"I'm not looking, I promise." You turn around so that Jimin can get changed as well. It takes you only a few moments to shift into your wolf form. You wait for a little bit to turn around, in case Jimin hasn't shifted yet. But suddenly you feel a wet snout on your fur, making you flinch.
You turn around, looking at Jimin's wolf for the first time. He has beautiful light brown fur that fades to white near his belly. It pairs nicely with his deep brown eyes that you love so much.
His wolf is a bit smaller than yours because he is an Omega, but you love it all the same. "Your wolf is beautiful." You're a bit startled when you hear his voice in your head. You can't mindlink in human form since you haven't completed the mate bond and he's not officially part of your pack yet. However, you can mind link with him in wolf form.
You look down at your pure white paws before looking back up at him. It's been so long since someone has complimented your wolf that you almost forgot what it looked like. "Thank you, so is yours." You tell him.
Then suddenly you see a michievous glint in his eyes. Before you can ask him what he's up to, he growls at you playfully before taking off into the woods.
It takes you a second to realize what just happened before you dash after him. You have to admit, he's fairly fast, but you're even faster. He has just made it past the lake when you tackle him to the ground. Not with your full force, of course.
Jimin pants, his chest heaving as he lays under you with a wolfish grin. You playfully nip at his neck and he growls at you once again. Then he flips you over so that he's on top, licking you affectionately.
The two of you wrestle around for a bit and do some exploring in the woods until the sun begins to set. As you walk back to the edge of the woods, you mind link Yoongi, asking him to bring a basket full of the things you prepared earlier. And by the time you get there, the basket is sitting on a picnic blanket right next to your clothes.
"What's that?" Jimin mind links you with a curious tone in his voice, nodding his head towards the basket.
"You'll see." You say simply. "Let's get changed first."
At that, the two of you turn away from each other to shift back into your human forms. Then you throw back on your clothes. "Are you done yet?" You ask.
A moment passes before Jimin answers you. "Yeah." You finally turn around, greeted by the sight of your mate's human form once again. It's kind of strange seeing someone in their human form again after seeing them in their wolf form. It takes a while to put together in your head that they are both the same person.
"So..what's in the basket?" He smiles, raising an eyebrow.
"You're a very curious one, aren't you?" You chuckle, grabbing his hand and leading him over to the picnic blanket. You both take a seat and he looks at you expectantly. "Go ahead, open it." You encourage him and he sits forward, opening the top and digging in the basket.
His eyes light up as he pulls out the various items. "Did you make all of this?"
"I did." You beam, happy about how pleased he looks. "I wanted to do something to make up for yesterday, I know I stepped out of line. Again, I'm really sorry about that."
His gaze softens. "You're already forgiven."
"But you didn't even taste anything yet." You say, dumbfounded.
He chuckles softly, looking down as his fingers trace along the stitching of the blanket. "No one's ever done all of this for me before." He says quietly.
You don't know what to say. "Jimin..."
"Y/n, I haven't known you for long but you've already made me more happy than I've ever been in my life. I had always hoped that I'd find my mate and they would be this fantastic person. But you're better than anyone I could've dreamed of."
Your heart pounds in your chest and your breath hitches in your throat. There are tears welling up in your eyes, but you try to keep them at bay. "Jimin, you're going to make me cry." You pout.
He chuckles at that. "It wouldn't be anything I haven't seen before." He teases, a warm sparkle in his eyes.
"Oh, shut up." You chuckle, wiping a stray tear that escapes from your eye. "Let's eat before I start sobbing."
The two of you enjoy the food that you prepared as you watch the sun set low in the sky.
