The day of your mating ceremony rolls around almost too soon.
"You look amazing." Helena assures you as you look in the mirror once again, readjusting your white dress for the thousandth time. You're nervous as hell.
You haven't seen Jimin all day, since it's a mating ceremony tradition to avoid your mate on the day of until the actual event begins. Helena has been helping you get ready while Yoongi helps Jimin.
Now it's almost time for the event to begin and your heart is pounding in your chest. Not only will Jimin finally be introduced to the pack, he will officially claim his role as Luna.
"Ready?" She asks before peering out the window of your bedroom. "The sun is starting to set so I think people will be arriving soon."
You nod, swallowing thickly. "I'm ready."
She walks with you downstairs, heading outside. In a clearing near the edge of the woods, there is a small altar set up. In front of it is a white table with a metal bowl on top of it, a sharp dagger placed to the side.
You stand behind the table as you wait for everyone else to arrive. It doesn't take long, the members of your pack gathering along the sides, leaving a path in the middle.
When you finally see Jimin walking towards you, your breath hitches in your throat. He looks beautiful. Just like you, he's dressed in all white as a symbol of purity and innocence. Also a mating ceremony tradition.
He smiles warmly when he catches your eye, walking around the table to stand next to you. You take a deep breath, grabbing the dagger from the table.
Then you reach a hand out for Jimin's, who immediately obliges. You turn his hand so that his palm is facing up and slice through the middle of it with the dagger. He winces slightly as blood immediately begins to seep out of the long cut.
You don't like seeing him in pain, but this is a necessary part of the ceremony. Then you cut through your own palm with the dagger. You hold Jimin's bleeding hand, his blood mixing with yours and dripping into the bowl.
The Alpha genes in your blood causes the cut to heal after a few moments, but the deed has been done. Jimin is now officially the Luna of your pack.
With Jimin's hand still in yours, you decide to say a few words. "With this ceremony, Jimin is officially the Luna of the Crescent pack. I have no doubt that he will receive the same kindness and respect that you show to me. Now it is time to celebrate!"
Everyone cheers and you smile brightly. Turning to Jimin, you're glad to see that he looks just as happy.
Everyone heads towards the middle of town, where there are decorations up and food set out. By some miracle, you convinced your mother and brother to help with that.
At first, Jimin is shy when speaking to your pack members. But as the night goes on and he gets some alcohol in his system, his confidence shines through.
And you're proud of him. After all, there's nothing wrong with some liquid courage.
"You did great today, baby." You tell him as you arrive back at the pack house that night.
He only giggles, leaning heavily on your shoulder as you help him up the stairs. Alright, maybe there's such a thing as too much liquid courage.
"Baby, how much did you drink?" You ask, slightly concerned as he flops onto your bed.
He sighs heavily, looking at the ceiling. A small pout forms on his lips as he tries to think. "I don't remember." He concludes with a huff, disappointment in his tone as he looks at you with puppy dog eyes.
"It's okay." You chuckle, reassuring him. He's too cute. "Just get some rest, okay?"
He nods softly and not even a few moments later, he's fast asleep.
