"Alpha, there has been a rogue attack on the east side of the border. Please come quickly."
You are sleeping soundly when you're awoken by a new mindlink from one of your patrollers. A rogue attack in the middle of the night? That's very random. But you better get there quickly, you don't know how bad the situation is.
"Where are you going?" Jimin mumbles sleepily when you release him from your arms, starting to get out of bed.
"There was a rogue attack at the border, I have to go check it out." You explain to him, kissing his cheek softly. Then you pull back the covers, stretching as you plant your feet on the ground.
"Can I come?" He asks and you pause.
That's actually not a bad idea. Jimin has been helping out a lot at the pack hospital so he must have acquired a good amount of experience treating wounds. And if this attack was as bad as you think it might be, he would serve as a great help to any injured pack members.
"Yes, but we have to hurry."
He quickly climbs out of bed, following you out of your room and downstairs. You mindlink Yoongi, not wanting to go into his room and risk waking up the baby. He has just gotten back from his trip earlier on this afternoon, so you bet he's absolutely thrilled to be back to work already.
Equipped with flashlights, you and Jimin head out into the darkness. It's pitch black outside, with the exception of a few street lamps. After all, it is pretty late. If you were to guess, you would say it's some time past 2 am.
The two of you head towards the stable to fetch your horse. You hate to wake her out of her slumber, really. But it's a far walk to the east side of the border and who knows what is waiting for you.
When she's ready, you and Jimin hop into the carriage and you are on your way. After a while, you reach the edge of the woods where you are assuming the attack occurred. You get out of the carriage and approach the patroller with Jimin right on your tail.
"What happened here, Namjoon?" You ask the worried looking man. Turning your flashlight on, you light up the dark forest. What you see in front of you are a bunch of dead bodies, some in human form and others in wolf form. Both parties are covered in blood.
"Well, I was patrolling that area over there." He points to his usual spot, a few yards from where you are standing. "And out of nowhere, I hear Pharah screaming. I turn around and she's being attacked by five, six rogues. Noah noticed before I did and jumped in to help, but.." He trails off, sighing heavily. "They got a few of them, but they were severely outnumbered. By the time I made it over here, I was too late and a bunch of them ran off."
You hum in acknowledgement, taking in the information. Pharah and Noah were very well trained and excellent fighters. They knew what to do in the event that they were outnumbered in a situation like that. As patrollers, that's what they were specially trained for. For them to have been taken down so quickly, those rogues must have been very strong.
