At breakfast, your heart sinks when you see that Hoseok's usual seat is empty.
"Where's your brother?" Your mother asks as you begin to eat.
"I don't think he's feeling too well. He said something about his stomach hurting yesterday."
She nods, seeming to believe your lie. "Poor thing, I'll ask the chefs to make him some soup."
After you're done with breakfast, you call Yoongi up to your office to discuss the contract. After everything that occured yesterday, you didn't get the chance to get his opinion on it.
"Honestly, it doesn't seem like a bad idea." He says. "She seems trustworthy enough, I doubt she would try to cross you after what you did to Cyrus. It's up to you, though." He shrugs.
"I trust your intuition." You tell him, tapping your fingers on your desk. "And she seems smart and kind hearted. The people must have voted for her for a reason, right?"
"Fair enough." Yoongi nods.
"Alright then." You take a deep breath, thoroughly reading through the contract one more time. Then you grab a pen, signing the bottom of it. "I'll go deliver this to Elyttra." You stand up from your desk.
"Do you want me to come?"
"No, it's fine." You wave him off. "I'm just dropping it off and coming back. Plus, I was thinking of asking Hoseok if he wanted to come with me."
Yoongi raises an eyebrow."Good luck with that."
"Thanks, I'm going to need it." You offer him a soft smile before exiting your office and heading to Hoseok's room.
"Hoseok?" You call out, knocking on his door. After you receive no answer after a few moments, you push the door open.
Your brother is still in bed, wrapped up in his covers. He stares blankly at the ceiling, only looking at you when you clear your throat. "Leave me alone, I'm not hungry." He turns his body so that he is facing away from you.
"I know you're upset with me right now and I'm sorry for what I said yesterday." You look down at the ground. "But I was heading over to the Blood Moon pack and I wanted to know if maybe..you wanted to come?"
A moment of silence passes and you sigh, deciding that you should just leave. And Hoseok doesn't stop you so you head outside, deciding to just go by yourself. It shouldn't take long anyway.
But as you attach Mia to your carriage, a voice calls out to you. "Y/n, wait!" To your surprise, your brother comes running out of the front door.
He holds on to the edge of the carriage, catching his breath. "I'll come with you."
You supress a grin as you get into the carriage. "Hop in."
The ride to the Blood Moon pack is full of awkward silence. Not only because this is the most time you've spent with your brother in years, but also because there are a lot of things left unsaid. Things you would rather not think about, let alone speak about.
