You can't skip chapters. That's not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won't enjoy all of it. Hell, some chapters will make you cry for weeks. You will read things you don't want to read; you will have moments when you don't want the chapter to end.
But you have to keep going. Stories keep the world revolving. Live yours. Don't miss out.
~Courtney Peppernell

We often read books to get rid of our thoughts. To forget about our problems, even if it's just for a little while. Even if it involves diving headlong into somebody else's problems. Cause happy or sad, at least you know the books gonna end. That problem's gonna be dealt with. You'll get the answers within hours, or days, or even months. You'll get them in a couple of hundred pages. Whereas in life, you're stuck in a limbo, you can't make decisions, can't make sense of it all.

And perhaps, the assurance that no matter how bad, things are gonna work out, does wonders.

You just need to keep reading. Or, you just need to keep trying.
