Chapter 35- "Unexpected"

"Your dress is truly lovely bestie", puri ni Reign sa wedding dress ko. Tuwing naiisip ko ang mangyayari bukas ay kinakabahan talaga ako.

"Right. It totally fits you", pagsang-ayon ni Carla.

We are currently here in one of Zack's hotel. He reserved this whole branch for the girls attending the wedding tomorrow. Nasa isang hotel naman ang mga lalaki.

"Thank you", sabi ko sa kanilang dalawa. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I'm just so excited that I can't stop myself from trying it one last time before the wedding.

It's been one month since Zack's proposal and the hellish preparation for the wedding since there's a certain someone who wants to hurry the wedding.

All the misunderstandings have also been cleared. Zack wasn't cheating with Carla. In fact, Carla divorced Zack's father and now she's engaged. She'll be wed next month. Our wedding was scheduled ahead of them because she's our wedding planner. I was guilty at first but she said it's fine. It's her present to me. She's completely moved on from Zack. Ang dahilan na parati silang magkasama noon ay para sa proposal. Basically, that messed up set up is Carla's doing.

As for those pictures, Tyrus was punched by Zack. He deserves it. Tyrus said that it was his revenge to Zack for having me. Well, he completely fell for me. I chuckled at that thought but all is well now.

We stopped talking nang may bumukas sa pintuan at pumasok si mom. Nang dumapo ang paningin niya sa akin ay nanlaki ang mga mata niya.

"Oh My god Elize!", napatalon ako sa pagsigaw ni mommy. "Hindi magandang pangitain kung susuotin ang wedding dress sa gabi bago ang kasal", paliwanag niya. Kumunot naman ang noo ko.

"Tita, I didn't know you believe in those", puna ni Carla.

"Oo nga po, pamahiin lang naman po 'yun", depensa ni Reign.

"Still, there's nothing to lose if you follow it. Hubarin mo na agad 'yan Elize." Sinunod ko ang gusto ni mom. Still I laugh in my mind at the thought that there's no stopping Zack from marrying me and nothing's stopping me from marrying him. I've been dreaming for this my whole life.

"Okay let's go to bed now, maaga pa tayo bukas", payo ni mommy. Sumang-ayon naman kaming lahat.

Nang nakahiga na'ko sa kama ay bigla namang nag-ring ang cellphone ko. Napangiti ako nang makita ang pangalan sa caller's ID. Ang lakas din ng kabog ng dibdib ko.

"Did I wake you?", tanong niya sa kabilang linya. May konting pag-aalala sa boses niya. Napatawa naman ako ng konti.

"Nope", maikli kong sagot. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko sa kaniya ngayon. I just can't wait for tomorrow to come.

"I can't wait for tomorrow to come. I badly want to see you", sabi niya sa seryosong tono. Psychic ba siya? Magkaparehas kami nang nasa isip eh.

"You should sleep early at baka ma-late ka bukas," sabi ko.

"There's no way I'll be late tomorrow. I might don't sleep if you don't want me to", sabi niya sa seryosong tono.

"Stupid, go to sleep", sabi ko habang nagpipigil ng tawa. Biglang tumatak sa isip ko ang nakasimangot na mukha ni Zack.

"You're making fun of me", deklara niya.

"No I'm not", pagde-deny ko.

"I'll make sure you won't get your eyes off of me tomorrow", pagbabanta niya. Pumasok sa isip ko ang magiging hitsura niya bukas. Pinamulahan ako nang mukha. Maybe he's right. Baka nga hindi ko maaalis ang tingin ko sa kaniya bukas.
