Zack's POV

I kneeled down and laid the bouquet of flowers in the grave that's in front of me.

"Hi there Hon", I said as I traced the names engraved on it with my hands.

'Elizaria Cruzaldez Lewiston'

"Honey, I'm very sorry for being a bad husband and a father to our children", sabi ko.

It's been 10 years since then pero tuwing naaalala ko ang mukha ni Elize, tila tinutusok pa rin ng paulit-ulit ang puso ko.

I was really ashamed of myself these past years. I tried to stop my tears from falling.

Today was her death anniversary as well as the day of our wedding. I smiled bitterly.

"I didn't know what I am supposed to do without you. I was completely lost."

I must look like a crazy man here talking to myself.

"Ella and Elton are already teenagers. I didn't even notice until now. I was a useless father to them."

That's right. After Elizaria died, I thought I lost everything and thought what's the point of living? I gave up on myself, on my family, on everything.

"You look very handsome son!", puri sa'kin ni dad while patting my back. I smiled at him. Sa totoo lang kinakabahan talaga ako ngayon.

I'm really itching to see my wife already.

"Dad! How do I look?", masiglang tanong ni Elton.

"You look good son", sagot ko sa kanya while patting his head. Ang laki na ngayon ng ngisi niya. Umalis siya sa harap ko para tanungin din ang lolo niya.

Tinignan ko ang relo ko pero it is almost nine pero wala pa sila Elize.

"Oh, nandito na pala sila", mabilis akong lumingon sa entrance nang marinig ang sinabi ni dad.

Nakita ko sina mom, Reign, at Carla kakarating lang pero wala si Elize at si Ella.

"Smile Zack", napalingon ako kay papa, I'm referring now to Mr. Buenaventura. "Relax. She'll come." Sinubukan kong ngumiti sa sinabi niya.

"Now don't say that son, your sister's fine", sabi ko. However, the truth is, I really want to go and look for her. Hindi ako makapali dito.

Lumingon ako sa may pinto nang biglang humagulhol si mom. Lumapit si dad sa akin habang may pag-aalala sa mukha.

"S-son", may pagdadalawang-isip sa boses niya.

"Tell me what is it dad?!", sigaw ko na nanginginig habang hinahwakan siya nang mahigpit sa balikat.

"Elizaria and Ella got into accident."

"W-what? what do you mean?", I am very confused by what he said. Hindi siya maka-tingin sa'kin.

"Zack, the car that Elizaria and Ella rode got into accident and your wife's dead on the spot."

Parang tumigil ang mundo ko sa narinig ko. Dahan-dahan akong umatras hanggang sa tuluyang nanghina ang mga binti ko at bumagsak ako.
