LAST NIGHT was even more exhausting than yesterday.
Pilit kong ibinubukas ang mga mata ko habang kumakain. All of us were now seated in the dining chamber, eating breakfast. Kagabi pa ako tinatanong ng mga 'to kung okay lang ba ako since I couldn't stop thinking of the conversation we heard between King Horrand at Queen Winthrop.
Kagabi ko pa gustong sabihin kay Haisley at Madison ang narinig ko pero ayoko namang pangunahan ang hari. So as for now, I have no choice. The secret is guiltily trapped with me, whether I like it or not.
"Kukunin ko na 'yang pagkain mo pag hindi mo pa 'yan kakainin." Damien remarked and I willingly pushed my plate towards him.
Tsk, patay-gutom.
Masaya naman niyang hinablot ang natitirang piraso ng manok sa plato ko.
"Mukha kang tinapon mula Therron hanggang Kirospea tapos bumagsak sa Castell." Haisley mentioned, looking at me. "Ano bang nangyayari sa'yo Sky? Si Bryle ba?"
"Oh gods, no!" I say, shaking my head before giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm okay, napagod lang siguro."
"Napagod..." Madison butted in with a smirk, as if she meant something else. I rolled my eyes and pointed my fork towards her. Tutusukin ko na mata nito.
"Maddie, fuck you." I tell her point-blank.
"Right back at you Sky." She grins, pointing her spoon towards me. Ugh, these people.
I made a face before glancing towards King Horrand who daintily wiped his mouth with a napkin. He looked troubled, and of course, I definitely didn't have to guess what was troubling him.
"Luna Team," he finally speaks out, placing the napkin back on the table. "I will be having a word with you in my headquarters."
Napatingin ako sa may dulo ng lamesa kung nasaan si Conrad. Kapag kasi hindi siya busy na nag-aaral ng medisina ay nakakasabay namin ito sa hapag-kainan; since he was also after all, a member of the royal household.
Sakto namang napatingin sa akin si Conrad, his eyes meeting mine. Parehas kami nang iniisip nito. Mukhang sasabihin na ata ng hari ang balita na narinig namin kagabi.
"Ehem," Gabryle suddenly coughed, clearing his throat. I was quick to snap out of the telepathic conversation me and Conrad were having.
Napatingin ako kay Gabryle. He was looking at me with a frown before raising an eyebrow.
Napakibit-balikat na lamang ako before looking away. Pft. Issue rin 'tong prinsipe na 'to eh.
At that moment, the king then stood up quietly before exiting the royal dining chamber. "That means you too, mentors." Queen Minerva said briefly, nodding towards Royce na parang nataranta at tumayo na rin.
"Nasaan nga pala si Amber?" The queen asked curiously.
"Umuwi lang po pansamantala sa kanila, mahal na reyna." Royce replied and I heard Chancellor Asteria who sat beside him, snicker.
