Sudden Combat

THE SUN rose steadily behind the castillo's tall towers. Its rays of light blindingly fell upon the beautiful architecture and seeped in through its glass windows.
Kakapasok lang namin sa loob ng royal dining chamber para kumain ng breakfast.
"Isang magandang umaga sa inyong lahat, Luna Team!" the king greeted us as soon as we were all seated. "It's a lovely day today. Kamusta ang pagte-training ninyo?"
Damien flinched at the king's words habang walang kibo na umupo si Royce, Rome at Chancellor Asteria. Amber was nowhere to be seen since lagi itong dumadating lamang sa castillo pagkatapos ng umagahan. She spends her night at their family house, from what I know of.
"It's been tough, father." Si Gabryle nalang mismo ang sumagot at tumango ang hari.
"So, who are we waiting for?" Tanong naman ng reyna dahil wala pang kumikibo para kumain.
Sakto naman pagkatapos tanungin iyon ng reyna ay biglang pumasok si Conrad. Of course he was with no other than his dad.
I sat in my chair uncomfortably, not looking up to greet them.
"Claude, my dear friend!" Masayang bati ng hari. "Salamat kay Luna at nakabalik na dito sa castillo. Halina't kumain na tayong lahat."
Malaki ang ngiti ni Claude Lampshire habang naglakad palapit sa hari at niyakap ito. Bineso rin niya ang reyna bago tuluyang pumirmi at umupo katabi ng kaniyang anak na lalaki.
"Let us feast!" The king announced happily at agad na sinerve ng mga kusinero't kusinera ang pagkain sa aming lamesa.
I gloomily picked on the food found in my plate.
"Don't let his presence make you feel inferior." Gabryle whispered and I nodded.
"Don't worry about me, I think I've got my emotions in check." Pag-reassure ko naman sa kaniya.
It was true. I've reflected a lot now eversince yesterday.
Even though Lola Rosalina's death still affected me largely, marami akong napagtanto mula sa pag-uusap naming magkakaibigan. I was lucky to have them make me realize certain matters that I wouldn't have sought on my own.
Claude Lampshire still makes me shake in anger, but I won't ever touch him now.
Let the world give him the karma that he deserves.
Gabryle patted my hand comfortingly at nagpatuloy lang kami sa pagkain. What's bothering me right now is not Claude Lampshire anyway, but the anxious wonder of how I'll mend things with Mentor Royce.
He still looked rather down.
The thought continue to bother me the whole time we were eating, even until pagkatapos ng breakfast kung saan pumasok na rin kami agad sa training room.
I don't know if it's just me pero parang medyo nakangiti ngayon sa akin ang estatwa ni Goddess Luna.
Sometimes I feel like my own eyes are playing tricks on me.
