"SO, WHAT'S the plan?" Tanong ni Hugo as rain continued its heavy downpour upon us.

Agad kaming tumingin sa isa't-isa, visibly getting colder by the minute now, especially since it was as if there was nothing that could stop the storm raging above us.

"The main plan is to stop Winthrop's inevitable coronation — by destroying the new crown she has made using Haru's sun substance." Eionne nodded in a shaky breath.

At her statement, lightning crashed the sky — making us all flinch.

"We can only do that once we escape the match." Gabryle said in a serious manner habang napatingin sa gawi ko. His eyebrows furrowed together due to the ordeal of the situation.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Madison asked, raising an eyebrow once more as she crossed her arms together. "Let's get out of this hellhole."

"It's not that easy." Sherlindrea Lovell said nervously, glancing towards their leader Raiden, who was pacing back and forth as if deep in thought.

"Raiden's father was the one who made the force field of this battleground. In turn, only him or any elderly Thalia Mage that is powerful enough can reopen the force field." Jareth explained to us.

Napatingin naman kaming lahat kay Raiden na napatigil na rin sa paglalakad para tignan kami pabalik.

"You're King Magnus Fletcher's son. Surely he must've told you a little bit about the Ethearia Crown Match's forcefield." Scarlet Edburn pointed out with a frown.

Raiden let out a sigh and shyly placed his hand on his nape.

"A-Actually—"

The Thalia Prince's explanation was cut short though when the rumbling voice in the sky spoke once more.

It was the voice of Game Master Fumihiro Hornbell again.

"Greetings. The royal board of directors for this year's Ethearia Crown Match requests that the representing Mage Weavers continue the battle — despite the tormenting act showcased by the Solis Team towards the Ethearia Crowns. With that, comes a new rule change. The last representing team alive that has annihilated all members of the opposing teams will be considered the winner of this match."

"Are they fucking serious?" Avery Locke exclaimed in disgust as I furrowed my eyebrows together.

"If the representing Mage Weavers fail to continue the battle, then there will be consequences. These consequences will include voiding the match as a whole, giving the reign to the former winner, and dispatching this year's representing teams. Long Live Ethearians, and may the heavens be ever in your favor."

After that came the most nerve-wrecking silence.

Agad kaming nagkatinginan sa isa't-isa, not quite sure about what to do next. It was hard not to be scared for our lives when we had just been threatened for the whole land to see. The Solis Team was the one that looked the most horrified.

Out of determination, I then shook my head. "Don't let the announcement get to you." Mariin kong sabi sa kanila. "They're just trying to manipulate and instill fear within us para umakto tayo sa plano nila. But we shouldn't give them the pleasure of obeying their commands and acting as their easily controlled puppets."
