THE GREAT Chancellor Asteria and mentor Royce were pacing back and forth worriedly by the time mentor Rome had brought us to their room that glowed a bright yellow due to the crackling flame bestowed on their fireplace.

Outside the castillo, rain continued to slash heavily against the windows as thunder and lightning subsequently terrorized the night.

"Oh thank heavens!" Chancellor cried out as soon as we had arrived, rushing towards us. "I heard little Shrieking Salem's voice and knew just then and there you were at the sorcerer's secret lair - kaya pinapunta namin agad si Rome!"

"S-Shrieking Salem?" I inquired, my knees slightly shaking from what we had just escaped from.

"The prisoner and guardian of the sorcerer's lair. She was supposed to turn out as a faerie, but the sorcerer accidentally made a mistake with the spell and conjured the soul of a witch instead." She explained.

Agad na lumapit naman sa apoy si mentor Rome to warm himself.

"Here, have some tea." Mentor Royce offered to us, handing over dainty teacups as we catched our breaths and tried to calm ourselves.

"T-Thank you po," Haisley shivered. "Now that you've mentioned it, I realized the lair was a few degrees colder because of... h-her... or it... whatever."

"It is," the woman nodded vigorously habang pinupuno niya ang aming mga baso ng tsaa. "The sorcerer was terrified of the evil and cold power that Salem could bring. Hindi niya kayang ireverse ang spell o sirain ang kaniyang nagawang creation, so instead, he managed to drain some of her abilities; recreating her into a child. After that, he then flew the coop and locked her up in his lair with a rather strong spell. This resulted to a furious witch who continues to plot for revenge. I'm glad Rome managed to get you out of that mess."

"Shrieking Salem..." Gabryle muttered under his breath. "Paano niyo po nalaman ang tungkol dito, Chancellor?"

Nagkatinginan naman si Chancellor at si mentor Rome.

The woman cleared her throat before hesitantly speaking. "Y-Your mother told me about the lair. I'm sure nakita niyo na ang tungkol sa bagong konstitusyon ng Ethearia na nilagdaan ng iyong ama at ni King Magnus..."

"...I was the one tasked by Queen Minerva to put it there."

Madison, who was about to sip from her teacup, stopped mid-way at the words of Chancellor Asteria.

"These two knuckleheads helped me back in the day," the Chancellor mentioned and the two brothers looked away.

"No wonder mentor Rome knew the exact spell to defeat Salem; despite not being a Thalia Mage himself." Hugo pointed out and mentor Rome shook his head.

"I think my brother should be careful of the advices he gives to the six of you next time." He said, frowning at mentor Royce who ran his fingers through his hair innocently.

"Look, I didn't tell them to be sneaking around the castillo. Ang sabi ko, humanap sila ng impormasyon patungkol sa identity ni Sk-"

"SSHH!" The Chancellor hissed, waving a hand towards mentor Royce. Lahat kami ay agad na natahimik.

"Someone's coming." She said seriously. "It's Thebes, general of the Luna royal knights."

Hugo did not need to be told by our mentors as he quickly used his ability to mask our presence.
