GETTING INSIDE the training room the next day was the hardest as I crossed my arms over my chest, hiding the pain underneath from last night's scenario.

A sinking feeling washed over me nang nakita ko si Gabryle, who seemed to be unbothered.

His lips were pursed into a thin line at gaya ko, his arms were also crossed against his chest. Malayo nanaman ang kaniyang tingin and I doubt he slept well last night with the dark circles under his eyes. Indeed, he's trying to play tough under that facadé.

Of course, bakit naman siya magso-sorry sa isang katulad ko? I was just a drift to him; a nobody that he regretted opening up to.

I looked away. If this is what he wants, then this is what he gets.

"Alright, trainees!" The voice of the grudgy-looking mentor before us boomed throughout the chamber. Mayroon itong kasamang babae that was unfamiliar to me.

"Today you will be training individually," He started, clasping his hands together. "Workout and strengthening your abilities will be our target for this week. In order to achieve that, kailangan nating iimprove ang mga katawan niyo; to also make you guys more flexible, light and agile when you move across the battlefield."

A little sigh of relief escapes my lips, knowing that I won't be forced to work with him.

Napansin ito ni Haisley.

"What's up with you?" She whispers to me and I shake my head and put on a fake smile on my lips.

"I'm fine, Haisles." I reassure her with a new-found nickname that unknowingly escaped my lips before glancing back at the two mentors facing us.

"This is Amber Wolfe." Tuloy ni Royce, gesturing towards the woman next to him that wore heavy armored clothes. "She's a good friend of mine. As you all know, me and my brother Royce were the first ever representatives of the Luna Mage Weavers for the Ethearia Crown Match nine years ago."

"We could've won, if the Solis Mage Weavers weren't a shitload of cunning snakes." He muttered. "Time and time, those Solis Mage Weavers just kept winning; always handing the crown to Castell as the ruler of all of Ethearia. But to hell-bent we won't let that shit happen again this year."

"We will make sure your team will win in this year's battle and heck, Therron will rise again from the dumps." He nods, looking at each and everyone of us with a hopeful glint in his eyes.

"Now Amber here, was our co-member." He smiles and the woman with light hair and fair skin gives us a smirk. "She was part of our team nine years ago in the first ever Ethearia Crown Match. Kasama namin siyang sumabak sa gyera and now, she will be helping all of you train through her ability."

"It's nice to meet you, Luna Team." The woman tells us, and I notice a scar on her left cheek. She seemed just like the person that would survive any battle.

"I'm sure you're curious about me so I won't beat around the bush." Sabi nito, eyeing each and everyone of us.

"I have the projection ability," She states in a matter-of-fact tone. "Which of course I will use to train each of you individually."

"Kaya kong mag-project ng kahit anong image or scenario; and I don't have any limitations. I can project a thousand images all at the same time if I want to." She then points a finger and draws a line across the air.

"Spread across the room, give enough space for everyone." The woman ordered and we willingly followed, finding myself near the wall.

"Magsisimula na ang training." Royce announces before nodding towards Amber.
