"I'LL TAKE the left and you take the right!"
Iyan ang sigaw sa akin ni Avery as Asden charged towards the both of us in full force.
At her words, thunder crashed loudly above us. Sa sobrang lakas ay akala ko mabibingi na ako habang tumatakbo papunta sa kanan. The battle between us was dangerous with the storm ravaging, lalo na't mahirap makita ng malinaw ang nangyayaring labanan dahil sa lakas ng buhos ng ulan.
Not only that, but lightning seemed to be dangerously near. If we weren't careful, it could strike us at any given time or worse, start a widespread forest fire.
"AAAARGHHH!" Asden howled as he threw simultaneous shards of lightning bolts at both directions.
I pursed my lips in anticipation at the bolts he was throwing towards me before moving my arms in reckless motion. Using my ability, hindi ko hinahayaan na matamaan ang sarili ko ng mga bolts niya just by dispersing its energy before it hit me.
"Ha!" I let out in victory as I managed to disintegrate each and every lightning bolt — pati na rin ang mga bolts na ibinabato niya papunta kay Avery.
Dahil dito ay agad na-confuse at na-frustrate ang binata. Avery used his confused state to conjure up a rather deadly spell.
"De profundis mortuorum, ego dico vobis ante lucem surgere!" She yelled, her eyes turning into dark inky irises as she slowly lifted her hands.
Bigla akong nangilabot sa itsura niya, at kahit si Asden ay napatigil sa takot.
Avery didn't come to play.
Out of the forest ground, small cracks began to appear one by one at agad na lumabas mula rito ang mga makakapal at maiitim na tentacles.
It was slimy and horrifying to see as they quickly grabbed onto Asden's legs, wrapping their filthy muscles around him.
"F-FUCK!" He yelled, gasping for air as he tried to control the lightning from the sky, hitting the large tentacles with it.
Kada sinasaktan at tinatamaan niya ang mga tentacles gamit ang kaniyang lightning manipulation ability, ay napapasinghap naman sa sakit si Avery.
"Avery!" I screamed, seeing her in pain kaya agad ko namang kinontrol ang katawan ni Asden para hindi na siya muling gumalaw at umaklas pa.
"NOOOO!" Eionne Cythnar's voice continued to wail heavily in the background amidst the battle.
"STOP IT! STOP THIS — ALL OF YOU!!"
Ngunit walang nakinig sa kanya.
All of us continued to rage on. From the corner of my eye, I could see the two princes, Gabryle and Raiden, alongside another Thalia Mage named Jareth Kingsworth battling William Phoenix.
Whilst, Madison and two other Thalia Mage Weavers named Tyrion Mudhart and Sherlindrea Lovell respectively, battled Victoria Havier who was aiming different kinds of elemental crystals towards them.
Sa kabilang bahagi ng clearing, si Damien, Hugo, at ang Thalia Mage na si Corra Fleur naman ang magka-team up at kinakalaban si Scarlet Edburn. When Damien and Corra had finally pinned down Scarlet, Hugo quickly ran towards Haisley na hanggang ngayon ay walang malay pa rin.
