/epilogue/

"CHINS UP!" was the voice that echoed throughout the royal chamber on the day of the feast.
The painter who had yelled in a commanding voice was now frowning as all of us immediately straightened our backs and raised our chins.
Still dissatisfied with how we presented ourselves, the painter gave a deep scowl and continued grumbling unintelligible remarks whilst slathering paint upon his canvas. I stifled back a laugh seeing Damien in my peripheral vision, trying to puff his chest in an attempt to look even more buff.
"Calm your horses, Damien." I hear Madison mutter and it took all my will to throttle back the laugh in my throat.
Two weeks have passed since the day we ended the second Mage War.
Despite the peaceful relief of ending a dark age, I couldn't help but still remember everything that had gone down in Ethearia's last ever Crown Match, and all of those moments that led to that one second where I crushed Winthrop's heart. The pain and journey we had to endure leading to this freedom was excruciating, but looking back at it now made me realize that it was all worth it in the end.
I had gotten my life back, and Ethearia was now at peace.
Of course, Winthrop's death would continuously visit me in my dreams, and the ghosts of my insecurities as the newest ruler of Castell would occasionally haunt me in my sleep; but this was better.
Kasulukuyan kasi kaming ginagawang modelo ng royal painter, something which the elder kings have insisted. As the last representing teams of the last ever Ethearia Crown Match, sabi ng mga hari ay parte na raw kami ng mga alamat ng Ethearia, dahil kami ang nagtapos sa sampung taon na kasakiman ni Winthrop — na sinasabi nilang isang malaking ganap at marka sa historya ng Ethearia.
And now that we were part of Ethearia's history, the kings claimed it was important that our faces would be painted across the large walls of the different castillos, in order for us to be remembered.
For our legacy to be remembered.
I smiled at the thought as the day passed on as quickly as the past two weeks. Around me, everyone was busy scurrying around Ethearia for the biggest event in the land.
It has been almost less than two weeks of preparation for the grandest feast in Ethearia's history: a feast that would interconnect all three kingdoms, and would last for at least a week.
The whole of Ethearia deserves it after a decade of oppression.
As I continued to dwell upon my own thoughts alone in my royal chamber whilst facing my vanity, nagulat naman ako nang may biglang nagsalita.
"Thank you for adopting me, Queen Eloise."
I instantly whirled around to see Delphine, breathing in relief as the small faerie flew towards me excitedly.
Napangiti agad ako sa sinabi niya. Ngayong nasa Castillo de Solis na kasi ako titira ay maraming bagay at tao akong iniwan sa Therron. Ang mga kaibigan ko, ang mga mentors namin, ang Town of Drifts...
