"You were stupid today you know that?" he says and and I kick off my shoes.

"I was stupid?! I killed the imposter. Just in time might I add!" I yell back and walk up the stairs.

"Do you want a fucking cookie?!" he screams and I groan.

"You're so fucking infuriating" I scream and take off my sweater.

"You can't even acknowledge that I did a fucking good job because it wasn't according to what you wanted. I killed him and it pisses you off" I tell him.

"No. What pisses me off is how you didn't listen to me when I told you to go away. I didn't need you there. I told you specifically he'd use you as a bargaining chip. If you had just listened to me and left like I wanted you to you wouldn't have been in danger" he says and I walk up to him.

"And you would be dead. They would've both caught you and you would've been fucked. You needed me and you didn't even know it—"

"I don't need anyone" he fires back.

He gets in my face and I can feel his breath on my lips. I swallow but don't back down.

"If the roles were reversed and I was Tiffany. I'm the one hanging from that chandelier, would you let him shoot me?" I ask him.

"Yes" I don't even know why his response hurt like it does. I turn around but he grabs my arm and pulls me back.

"Because if you were hanging down from that chandelier than i'd know I was right about you" I look back at him confused.

"In what sense?" I ask. He smiles.

"In the sense that you're weak. That you weren't cut out for this lifestyle. In the sense that I should've left you for dead at the bottoms of that chemical vat" I'm still confused so I don't respond.

"You're smarter than that doc. Showed it to me today. You showed me what type of fight you have in you. How fearless you can be...." his hand snakes around my waist and he turns us around so that i'm pressed up against the railing.

"You proved to me that you're more of an asset than just ass" he leans down to whisper it into my ear.

"You proved me......wrong. And that's not something anyone does and lives to tell the tale" he chuckles and pulls away.

"I don't need you doc. I've never needed anyone. But that doesn't mean I want you dead" I bite the inside of my cheek.

I shake my head, "I need more than that J" I hold my hand up to his cheek.

"That isn't enough for me" I whisper against his lips.

"What isn't?" he asks, his eyes search for something inside me.

"Your confession. It's not enough" I admit and he shakes his head and looks off to the side.

"It's not enough for what?" he asks.

"It's not enough for me to stay" I confess. My heart is basically in my throat. If I open my mouth wide enough I got a feeling you could see it right there, beating in all it's glory.

"You want to leave? Are you fucking—" his phone rings cutting him off.

He doesn't make a move to grab it.

"Where the hell would you even go? You have nothing. No house, no friends, no family—"

"I don't know where i'll go but I won't stay here. I refuse to stay with someone who won't even tell me the truth J" I tell him and he hangs his head.

When he looks back up at me he has anger in his eyes. He grabs my chin in his hand.

"You're a dumb bitch you know that" he growls. Someone knocks at the door.

"Come in" Jack says but makes no move to pull away.

"Sorry boss. They're up, almost all of them. So is Roman" one of his henchmen walk in and notify him.

"Tell Frost to get them ready" he says and the door shuts behind him.

"You know what? Leave then. Get the fuck out of here. But if you leave, don't ever come back. Make sure you never cross paths with me again" he says before letting go of me.

I bite the inside of my cheek and look over my shoulder as he walks down the steps.

"You're supposed to be a psychiatrist ain't ya? You know the mind better than anyone else. So tell me this, don't actions speak louder than words?" he asks. He pauses at the door and gives me one last look.

"That's what I thought"
