Chapter 15: Make Things Right

BOTH HANDS TIED, SWEATY HAIR AND WHOLE BODY, it's been a week since she is held captive by a man no other than Xue Yang. She sighed and kept her composure, wearing her modernized clothes...she became embarrassed, she doesn't remember clearly how she was brought here...and how she is still wearing her pajamas. Barefoot and sweaty, she observe the place she was held captive and realized she is not alone.

A man, who seems familiar...he is handsome, yet his face is filled with scars and cuts. She tried herself to move towards the captive man, but failed when she just move a little far away from him. She gasped for breath and spoke, "Who are you?" the man stared at her and began to struggle.

"M-Mo..." before he replied, a sound of footsteps startled both of them as Xue Yang walk towards them. But stop his tracks where Ashley is held captive and knelled down towards her, "Don't pretend...you do know me...I've been watching you for a while, you know?" he spoke as Ashley never felt nervous and scared towards him.

What?! When?? She thought to herself as Xue Yang used his hand to lit her chin towards him, "When? How?" she asked as Xue Yang let out a dark chuckle.

"Guess." He replied as Ashley hissed in annoyance. This is useless...all I know is that Xue yang used to kill clans...and...I'm defenseless...how can I escape from him? She thought to herself as she stared in the ground...she needs a plan, yes, she must not show her wits to escape or else she will be killed instantly. She stared at the man who is captive the same as hers, she began to wonder that she is familiar to her.

He is familiar...I wonder... she thought to herself when she stared at the man, Xue Yang noticed it and move her chin and stare towards his black orbs, "Why are you looking at him?!" he spat as Ashley felt fear.

"I wonder why you kept me in this clothes..." she mutter to herself as Xue Yang heard her.

"I like it, so what? Be lucky because I never fancied girls like you before." He replied as Ashley flushed in embarrassment.

"Wha???" she silently muttered as Xue Yang stared at her,

"Don't get the wrong idea, sweets. I just don't care what you really wear...all I need is you to fix this."

"I-I don't know how!" she exclaimed as Xue Yang hissed and summon his Jiangzhai and point the tip of its sword towards her.

He knelled down and spoke, "You see...I'm beginning to admire your personality, it seems Wei Wuxian's arrogance is still in you..." Ashley cringed in the inside knowing what Xue Yang meant, she let out an awkwardly chuckle and replied,

"Thanks...you just flatter me in the middle of your interrogation..." Xue Yang put his sword down and stood.

"You think your smart personality can save you from this? I don't think you, sweetie." He exclaimed as he knelled down to the man who's captive with her and stared again as he smirked, showing the hint of his canine fangs that sends shiver down in Ashley's spine.

This is no use...I really need to escape...this guy...how do I describe? She thought to herself as she struggle with the ropes binding around her both wrist. She watched Xue Yang played with a very familiar object as she tried to examine what is was. Alone and still in her modern clothes, she give up and shortly fell asleep - gaining the energy she need to pissed that man once more.

"What do you mean, Zewu Jun?" Lan Sizhui asked while Lan Xichen stared at him, he began to doubt at what he said...he need to kept this secret also to Lan Sizhui and Lan Wangji...but now Ashley is captured, he needs to keep his promise.

"Yi City is far from here, we must travel early before Xue Yang does something to her." Lan Wangji replied as Lan Qiren nod and stood in his seat.

"I am coming with you, HanGuang-Jun." Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi both exclaimed as Lan Wangji nod.

"Well, then...I hope Ashley is safe." Lan Qiren replied as they all bow and walk outside of the Jingshi (The Silence Room)

Lan Wangji, Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi walk towards the exit of Cloud Recesses where Lan Xichen followed them behind.

Yi City was surrounded by steep cliffs on all sides that tilted toward the center in an extreme manner, appearing both menacing and constricting, almost as if it would collapse any moment. Furthermore, it is enveloped in a thick white fog. The rotting smell of corpses still remains there when you entered the entrance of the city itself.

Rumors had it that there are people existed in that city...but a month passed...the city seems to be mysteriously peaceful and the cacophony of the people who once lived there disappeared as if they were burn silently in ashes.

Travelling in that place, Two Jades of Gusu Lan Sect and two Lan disciples are walking beside them. Lan Wangji calmly venture during the trip, but worried towards Ashley who assumed that maybe she isn't familiar much to the place itself.

"HanGuang-Jun? is it okay when we passed Lotus Pier...we are able to tell Yunmeng Clan Leader about Ashley's disappearance?" Lan Sizhui asked as Lan Wangji stared at him.

"Mn." He replied as Lan Jingyi patted Lan Sizhui's shoulder and whispered,

"It seems that he is like that at us...but when towards Ashley...I just heard him spoke like 2 sentences at least." Lan Sizhui silently chuckled as he continue to walk towards the path they are taking in.

"Let's stop in Lotus Pier then." Lan Xichen replied and walk towards the riverside and went inside the boat as they travelled to Lotus Pier.

As their travel in Lotus Pier is not that long, before night came, they are able to reach the riverside of Lotus Pier. Yunmeng Clan Leader Jiang Wanyi is already there with the guards beside him and also his nephew, Jin Ling beside him. As they walk towards him, they bowed and stood in their position.

"Clan Leader Jiang Cheng, I apologized if we are bothering you." Lan Xichen said as Jiang Cheng smirked and replied,

"No need, so...what brings you here? And where is Ashley?" he asked as Lan Sizhui walk towards them.

He bowed and replied, "Clan Leader Jiang Cheng, she is kidnapped in Yi City by Xue Yang."

Jiang Cheng widen his eyes and replied, "Xue Yang? I thought he is taken care of 10 years ago?"

"He is not...someone freed him." Lan Wangji replied as Jiang Cheng nodded.

"Well then...please relax yourselves and rest inside...your rooms are already prepared." He replied as both of them walk inside the Sword Hall.
