Chapter 48: Inquiry

GUANYIN TEMPLE IS WHERE JIN GUANGYAO carve a huge statue of himself, it is unknown for his reason of doing so. Wei WuXian, Lan Wangji and Wen Ning succeed in going to the temple. The moonless sky represents how dark and eerie the place was, much to ignorance of the people living there.

Wei WuXian held a deep breath, he realized his travels with Lan Wangji is getting longer than he thought. He began to question his feelings towards him, after his last conversation with Ashley, he had this gut feeling that there is something that she never tell him.

Aiya... he went deep in thought, My travels with Lan Zhan is quite a day...like after dealing with Xue Yang, We will deal Guangyao...I never had a proper rest...I think this is my karma... He let out a deep sigh, I realized that my endless tease with Lan Zhan is coming back to me...I can't sleep without him and also, ever since Ashley told me some of Lan Zhan's feelings...I believe that I can't face Lan Zhan like what I usually do...

"Master Wei..." Wen Ning called, Wei WuXian blink in response, "Hm?" he asked.

Wen Ning, "Wei gonzi, Is the temple there?" he asked as he point his finger to a direction where a huge gate can be seen.

It was night in Yiling City, Lan Wangji is the first to eavesdrop the whatever noise occurring inside while Wei WuXian and Wen Ning converse.

"Wen Ning, guide outside and see if there is someone or innocent people attempt to get in...if Jin Guangyao is really there, we should be cautious. Okay?" he spoke, Wen Ning nodded in response as he stood outside.

Lan Wangji gaze at Wei WuXian, "Wei Ying, I heard noises inside, we should sneak under the roof." he suggest.

Wei WuXian stretch a smile, "Hm, great idea Lan Zhan! Let's go." he replied. The two stared and nodded, knowing what they both meant.

As the two flew towards the rooftop, Wen Ning watch them from afar, "I think Wei gonzi likes HanGuang-Jun..." he silently muttered before a sound of a dog's cry caught his attention.

Lan Wangji and Wei WuXian is above the roof, they both realized how wide the Guanyin Temple is. With enough people to consistently clean the place, Wei WuXian began to conclude that Guangyao somehow knows what he is doing.

Although, they never find Guangyao in the temple which it confuses him. He began to remember what Xue Yang said to him that he somehow knew the song of inquiry. But...if he knew the song of inquiry, could it be he can travel back and forth in time like Ashley? he deeply thought.

"Wei Ying." Lan Wangji called, "Hm?" he gaze to his cold expression, "Guangyao seems not here...we can easily enter the temple smoothly." he replied.

"Yeah...but I had this gut feeling...what if he is there but he never showed up? I think I should be the one to come down in there...you'll get down when it's necessary." Wei WuXian suggest.

Lan Wangji shake his head in disagreement, "I'll go down...you stay here." he insisted.

"Eh?? No...we should go down together...", he replied. Not long before a voice interrupt their almost love quarrel.

"Wei gonzi, Lan-er gonzi...what a suprise!" a voice exclaimed, both gaze at the man that is nothing more than Jin Guangyao.

Shiya... Wei WuXian silently cursed, but suddenly realized what he just said. Wait...wtf?! what does it mean??! He screamed inside of his head.

"Oh hi!" he waved towards Jin Guangyao, "I believe you two should go down now since I caught you two..." he politely replied.

Lan Wangji and Wei WuXian flew down in defeat, but remain their composure towards the manipulative Guangyao. With his bichen unsheathe, Lan Wangji aim his sword towards Guangyao.
