Chapter 49: Inquiry

HIS HEART POUNDED HEAVILY and his brain hasn't sink in on his sudden confession, Lan Wangji never knew this day would come. He all thought that Wei Ying teased him in order to hate him, but despite of his efforts, Lan Wangji chose to stay whatever the odds.

Jin Guangyao never seen that coming either, he hasn't play the song of inquiry to see another outcome. Due to his shock, he let go of the string hence, setting Wei WuXian free. Wei WuXian hurriedly run towards Lan Wangji to embrace him.

Yet, Lan Wangji's body became hard like a log. Wei WuXian embrace him tightly while Jin Guangyao never felt so surprised in Wei WuXian's sudden confession. Both hearts pound the same beat and speed hence, they cannot convey any words to vent out their true feelings.

"Lan Zhan..." he called, "Did you hear what I just said?" he added. Lan Wangji is still in the process of confusion, "Y-You said..."

A sound of thunder roared underneath the moonless sky, Jin Guangyao let out a deep sigh, he is known for his polite and hospitable nature, yet, despite the situation where is true colours are finally shown, he can't help but unleash this good side of him.

"Wei gonzi, HanGuang-Jun..." he called, "It seems that it's about to rain, why not go inside to stay temporarily?" he suggested.

Wei WuXian nodded, underneath his calm composure lies many intentions. It is better to keep it that way and curious to see inside of the temple. Lan Wangji followed from behind, whose braincells still hasn't function ever since the confession happened.

Inside of the Guanyin temple, it was obviously contains the large carved statue of Guangyao. Wei WuXian silently cringed to the fact that this guy hasn't contented to be the leader of his sect, of course he is born from his mother - a prostitute, he assumes it is one of the reasons why his intentions had to be this way.

He let out a deep sigh, Guangyao is known to his calm and smart personality...I couldn't quite understand what he is planning...but i'm hoping Ashley and ZeWu Jun will be here... he deeply thought right before he create another observation, Lan Wangji spoke from behind who already sat in the floor.

"Sit." he command, Wei WuXian stared at him and nodded, "Err...alright." he replied as he sat beside him. Lan Wangji on the other hand, he is still uncertain whether what Wei WuXian proclaim back there is true.

his heart ache whenever that phrase loop in his head, the longing he felt for 16 years was more enough for him...but now Wei WuXian is finally with him...he can't help but feel this melancholic feeling...or perhaps, he deeply feel the bitterness and assume that Wei WuXian only said that to set himself free...

"Lan Zhan..." he called, Lan Wangji stared at him, like a puppy obeyed his owner without hesitation or defense.

"I do admit that I have a very poor memory, and...i think the summoning ritual made me this way...but back there...what I said is true..." he confessed, Lan Wangji couldn't believe that he is serious...for once...

Wei WuXian held a low sigh, "I do like you, I  fancy you...I love you, I whatever you..."

"I want to be with you, no one but you! I want to night hunt with you for the rest of my life..." he added with such longing and love written all over those brown orbs.

He stretch a soft smile, "Lan Zhan...you can do anything you want with me...as long a-" before he continue, a loud knock echoed through the distance.

Wei WuXian's eyes caught attention to the sound, before he could even continue, Lan Wangji suddenly embrace him tightly - both hearts beat with such longing and feelings surging through his veins.
