Chapter 29: Fake Protagonist

"SINCE WHEN SHE KEPT THIS?" Lan Wangji asked, he felt the sting of his chest. He may feel worried for Ashley, but to him, all those years of being close to her, it seems to end him a conclusion; he felt platonic.

Lan Wangji felt the conflict Wei WuXian's death 16 years ago, to this situation and the truth slowly unraveling in front of him, he felt the guilt as he thinks how she felt doing all of this to make things right.

Lan XiChen easily read Lan Wangji's expression, "My apologies if I kept it for a long time, she told me to keep it from you...and I feel that it's time for you to know somehow..."

Until my brother found out that it was the cause of the Song of Inquiry..."

Until we decide to put Ashley back in her time when we learn a little thing about the song, my brother told me that it can travel back and forth in time...in other words, only Ashley and I can travel...but things get complicated when Xue Yang kidnapped her for a reason." He added.
