Chapter 39: Truth Untold

WEI WUXIAN BECAME EXHAUSTED after a long walk journey towards Yi City, things changed in the plan where Wen Ning came along to protect Senior Wei at all cost which to Jiang Cheng's approval, because he is somehow felt unease towards him and to what happened 16 years ago. 

Ashley didn't tell him what she knows about the future, but he hoped somehow he find answers when they travel. Lan SiZhui on the other hand is experiencing self conflict whether the memories he mysteriously had is somewhat connected to his unraveling past, but no fret for he needs to focus on his mission with Senior Wei and HanGuang-Jun.

"Senior M-Wei." SiZhui called him, Wei WuXian turn around and replied, "Yes?" he asked.

He stared at him and spoke, "Is Xue Yang really there?" he asked.

"Hmm, If we find him there...somehow I believe he is." he leaned towards Lan Wangji, "Right, Lan Zhan?" he added, yet no answer come out in his lips and continue to walk. Wei WuXian pout in annoyance and scoffed, "Aiya...it's boring when no one talks!" he commented. Lan JingYi smirk in response, "Well at least it's quiet, you are so noisy in Gusu." he replied. 

Wei WuXian's eyes widen, "Eh?! Why Shufu let this kid come with us! How rude!" he let out his tongue towards JingYi who roll his eyes in response, DAMN THAT KID! HE IS LIKE THE LAN VERSION OF JIANG CHENG!! he screamed inside his head.

"Enough." Lan Wangji interrupt the awkward tension between Wei WuXian and Jingyi who stared like there is no tomorrow. Wei WuXian on the other hand began to feel bored so he pull out the flute he made, He is somehow saddened the fact he lost his chenqing during his fall. I guess he sighed, Everything is indeed  complicated...no wonder how Ashley struggled during my absence... He thought deeply.

Lan Wangji noticed his deep expression, he became silently concerned. He somehow tried his best to be with him...but the way he act is somehow breaking his heart.. He still hasn't notice nor knew what he really feel and in fact, during his pretense as Mo XuanYu, he trued to escape many times to get away from him but hell no! He will not let him go like he did in 16 years ago...

no...not this time!

"Lan Zhan!" his face turned  to Wei WuXian who cross his both arms, "You alright??" he asked, Lan Wangji nodded and continue to walk their way. Wei WuXian became oblivious of his state. Lan Zhan usually speaks when he wants to...but this days...he is...weird  he thought deeply when they heard a scream.

To Wei, he wanted to know somehow if his feelings for him is true. Ever since Ashley and him talked about what happened during his "death", he became conflicted with himself. He doesn't know if this Mo XuanYu's sexual attraction towards man affected him emotionally, but his heart...whenever he looked at Lan Zhan...his heart couldn't take it not even bit.

"What was that?!" SiZhui a exclaimed, Wei WuXian blinked as his attention focus on SiZhui's sudden word while Lan Wangji stand in their position, with Wangji's bichen almost unsheathe. They are in the forest, the trees rustling aggressively and  the wind blew hardly that they can hear muffles of a weeping baby. Wen Ning open his guard while Jingyi  started to point his sword to the intruder.

The intruder suddenly aim his sword towards Wei WuXian who became confused at the sudden flow of events, "Aiya!" he exclaimed while trying his best to prevent the intruder's aim in his sword. Lan Wangji flew above the intruder to protect Wei Ying from it, Jingyi and SiZhui blocked the intruder's way while Wen Ning did as well.

"W-Wait!" SiZhui exclaimed while all the armed people stop in their movements as their attention caught in him, SiZhui sheathe his sword and walk towards the intruder, who doesn't move nor attack him. Wei WuXian became confused in the intruder's behavior causing him to block SiZhui's way and confront him instead.
