It was around 5 o'clock when I finally left Xavier. Around 2 hours after our moment, I found myself sitting in Eleanors room, getting ready for the gathering.

Previous to this, me and my mate walked hand in hand up to our room, talking (and by talking I mean me relentlessly apologising) until he had to leave, so I grabbed a bag and stuffed it full of pyjamas before going to see El.

Currently, she was telling me about a 'weird feeling' she had.

"I can't explain it, I just feel like my wolf is trying to tell me something!" She exasperated throwing her arms in the air before falling back onto the bed.

I frowned as I watched her from the mirror I was positioned in front of.

"I sort of felt like that before I met Xavier- minus the wolf of course, you know she's not allowed out," I shrugged before gasping, "oh my god! What if you're about to meet your mate?!"

Her eyes widened considerably and she shook her head, "nope, nuh uh, no way!"

"What?! Why?"

"I am not ready for any kind of man right now! They smell, they're messy and time consuming!"

I laughed, "they're not that messy! And they only smell if they don't wash however if they don't wash then they may have some hygiene issues and if that's your mate then should get yourself checked for some diseases."

Giggling, she sat back up, "I've missed talking," she sighed as her eyes became distant, "after you left I barely spoke and it was pretty easy to stay quiet even when I got questioned about you."

"Who was asking?"

She paused before muttering, "Elijah..."

"Elijah?" I frowned, "why the hell is Elijah asking about me?"

Shrugging she replied, "I have no clue but he's grown some balls, talking to me about you how he did; he asked me how you were too."

"The nerve of that asshole! I don't even want to know what he said! That sad sack of ass didn't even ask me if I was okay when he realised my mom was hitting me; he didn't even ask on a good day! Even after everything that happened with us..."

"Don't think about it, Lex. He's an asshole!"

I sighed as I tugged a brush through my thick hair, "I forgot he was even a thing so it's not exactly going to bother me."

"Good!" She smiled slapping her hands on her thighs and then standing up.

"What did my mo- the pack say after I left?" I corrected myself. Why should I care what my mother said? She hated me and I hated her! End of.

She looked at me with sad eyes, "it's okay to wonder what your mom thinks, Alex. I know what she did to you but at the end of the day she is and will always be your blood, it's okay to wonder."

I smiled softly as her sympathetic eyes took in my expression.

But there was a hidden laughter behind her eyes.

That's when:

"She broke her arm and her leg," El suddenly burst out with laughter before covering her mouth with her hands.

All of a sudden, a fit of giggles erupted from my throat and I immediately guessed how she did it.

"I hope I'm right when I say..." I cried.

Then we both answered with gigantic grins, "Stairs!"

"I fucking love those stairs!" I screamed almost falling off my chair.
